Hello!
So, a map I'd previously done waypoints for recently came out with an updated version. Being the lazy person I am, I wanted to use the waypoints from the previous version of the map on the new version. However, when I tried loading them into RCBot2 for Team Fortress 2, the game gave me an error and didn't load anything at all. Looking at the RCW file, I noticed that the name of the map was still the name of the previous version. I tried changing the name within the RCW file, but the file still gave me an error message. So, that said, I was wondering if there's a way to import an RCW file's waypoints from one map to another regardless of the potential negative effects. (Odd locations, irregular spawns, etc. etc.) |

o_o W...really? It's that simple? *tries it* ...oh wow! Cheeseh? Excuse me while I do my happy dance.
Happy dance commencing in 3... 2... 1... ![]() *ahem* Anyway... The waypoints not only loaded, but the map author was right! The map hasn't moved a [unit of measurement] at all! They're right where they need to be! And more importantly...I don't have to re-waypoint an entire map now! ![]() |

does this just not work on dedicated servers? it keeps locking up saying something about calculating visibility... sry i dont have the console open now to copy exact message, but the server just hangs there indefinitely...

ok, i installed it onmy win 7 client to make the waypoints... i can load the points from the old vresion... sometimes... but they do not save and it wont let me add bots either... im not used to using a client rather than a dedi so i am wondering if i am missing something.. i set -insecure in my launch options and use local console to launch map and load points... up to then it seems right... but it say i dont have access to the command if i try to add bots and it fails to make the waypoint files if i try to save... im sure im gonna slam my face on the desk when i figure out what little detail i am missing... but at this point a mild headache and a bleeding nose seem almost worth it... lol
any idea what im doing wrong? thanx in advance |

It can only pick that up at the start of a map, if the plugin is running at that time. |
