It has been 10 days & still no reply from sniper. Probably will have to wait until after they roll out the next update. That could be any day now, or a week or two?

Any luck finding the latest source code? I hope you have more than 1 backup...

Well IT just updated I think, considering my steam just listed it as preparing to download the update and it's in my download list, so hopefuly they will get in touch soon

It didn't update yet, but I did get a reply from Sniper yesterday. Don't expect anything until after S-C updates... It sounds like some changes could effect what RCbot needs from them?

Aye, I'm curious if anything new's happened since sven has been updated now, of course there might be the unbelievable case of cheeseh having a life to deal with.

No new news from Sniper, I checked my PM today. They released another update this morning. Sniper thought it would be best to wait for the next update (which has happened). Then there was all that drama before the updates. He said sven was still in "flux", perhaps a period of frequent updates? I think he wanted to wait until there wasn't going to be so many changes that could effect the headers RCbot needs.

So, I'm not sure if we are at that point yet? With the 5.04 release there were a lot of complaints about stability and bugs. But if this latest update goes well, we could ask again?

Just making my little one month check-bump, Though I had checked the forums that you linked, and it seems it has stalled too *shrugs* so it's all up to whatever goes on with you guys it seems.

Yeah, I think we still are waiting on headers from sniper. I've been content to wait for this because of real life stuff going on the last few months. I hope something will happen this fall, when I should have more time to test and work on wpts...

A few questions for Cheeseh, hope you are having a good summer...

1. Should I ask Sniper about the headers, again? If you don't have the time to work on it now, I will just wait a while longer...

2. I was curious if you would consider changing rcbot1 for svencoop 5.x from a metamod plugin to an angelscript plugin? Have you had a chance to look at angelscript? Would this be a huge amount of work??? I just wanted to open up a discussion, since metamod on SC5 may quit working at some point.

Sorry to hear that, I wasn't sure how big of a job it would be... Please, release your updated source code at some point. Perhaps w00tguy or some one will give it a go??? w00tguy has been working with angelscript since the sc5.0 release...

I do hope someone might be able to get a short term conversion or something going, as I know some friends
I wish to play it with, never owned the original half life, making it so we would have to use the new version, but at least I can still mess with the older sven coop if I wish to for trying to do some things with bots for the sake of messing with the bots.

I tried, but got discouraged after having crash issues that I couldn't pinpoint. Angelscript support is still in beta and has issues like this which can make it frustrating to work with for large projects.

I see... Would it help to have a working metamod version plus the latest rcbot source code to work with, before porting it over to AS?

I'd rather just write it all from scratch, but I recently dropped all my SC projects and left the community (sort of) so that probably won't happen for a long time.

I think getting the metamod version working is the best way forward. There were plans to drop metamod support in favor of Angelscript, but since Solokiller left the dev team I don't see that happening within the next decade.

Sorry to hear you dropped your SC projects, you are very talented ... Guess we will have to wait until Sniper thinks those headers are stable (not going to change for a while), before this can get done. Likewise, I suspect Cheeseh does not want to fix this every time they update SC.

I did my best to get Sniper's attention (without being a pest), but still no reply ... It would be nice to know the reason for the delay, but I'm sure this is not a priority, either...
