Dunno if this will work but someone might want to try:
http://www.gotfrag.com/tf2/forums/thread/390143/ It lets you make a seperate TF2 install that works offline from before the scout update to play back old demos. I've had it working for playing back with old demos, so maybe someone out there might want to try running rcbot on it. |

I tried the Unofficial 0.4.2 version and i got the plugin to load in game. That fixed the bug in 0.4 that caused the game to crash. After that, I go to 2Fort and attempt to add bots. I get the message "You do not have permission to run this command". What? The server is run from in-game. How do I "not have permission"?!

If you loaded the plugin when you were in-game, (Able to choose team and so on) then you have to restart the server/game to make it work.
But 0.4.2 isnt working for the scout update either, so you cant play with the bots anyway. |

Valve's sample bot plugin that comes with the latest SDK doesn't work either, it crashes in the same fashion.... need to get valve to fix their own sample bot plugin before I can fix mine!!

Kind of Interesting me thinks... Hes working straight with valve for a new bot interface and they still haven't helped him with the code problem either. Some slight publicity on Rcbot too I guess. |

Man, I wish Valve would stop screwing things up. I didn't even know that you guys released the bots until now.

CSS has bots, and it has tons of people playing on the internet.
It won't have a significant impact on on-line play. |
