I gave this mod a shot on a few maps (2fort for the most part) and I've made a few observations on bot behaviour while playing:

- Medics: Medics are EXTREMELY aggressive for some reason. While they sometimes hole up in the intelligence room with a heavy or demoman, they usually charge the gates by themselves. They won't use the medigun if there's an enemy in sight.

- Snipers: These guys stand in the usual sniper spots, but they aim into the wall behind them more often than not. When they do face the right way, they're still awful shots.

- Soldiers: If they don't hole up in the intel room, they tend to do what soldiers do reasonable well.

- Scouts: Do what scouts do.

Intel capture note: When enemy bots capture the intel, they'll often hang around the intel room instead of returning to their home base.

- Heavies: Heavies are almost always found camping defensive positions. Because medics prefer to attack enemies rather than healing allies during combat, they can be somewhat uneffective when they go on the offensive.

- Engineers: These guys build their stuff in reasonable positions, but their turrets will often be facing the wrong way.

- Demomen: These guys really like to defend, and are remarkably passive when doing so. They stand in plain sight, waiting for enemies to show up. To their credit, they stand with their backs extremely close to walls, so it's somewhat difficult to backstab them. I've never seen them use sticky bombs.

- Spies: Spies do what they're supposed to do reasonably well, amazingly enough, but they often assume disguises in plain sight.

- All vs. spies: If you try to backstab anyone by approaching them from behind but without a disguise, they'll see you coming, and will either turn or jump spastically before they shoot you dead. They're generally unable to tell a disguised spy unless he dons it in front of them, however, when they finally do notice you everyone will shout "Spy!" simultaneously and come down on the poor spy like a sack of bricks.

Good points.

You should check out some custom waypoints in the other forum space.

I really recommend you get the pl_hoodoo_final waypoint.

Funny, you'd expect Sniper bots to be the most effective...

And Pyros? I can't complain about Pyros, they handle their job pretty well, and almost always stay on the offensive.

I've never seen Engineers put a turret the "wrong" way, that must be a waypoint thing.

But Medics are the most unrealistic. You can't EVER rely on a Medic bot for uber, healing, anything!! biggrin.gif

Medics prefer heavy, create two medics on your own team and make sure there is no other heavy around, then stay near medic and watch.

Demomans bottle seem to have a 100% crit chance, which gets really annoying ._.

Pr0 dem0s. lol.

You should've seen when a sniper yells "Spy round here" pulls out his Kukri and crits the spy. He didn't swap away his Kukri,he just bumrushed the enemy team with the Kukri.
He killed half of the enemy team, until he ran into a Pyro. The Pyro died with him, though.
Damn snipers.
