Hi, new to this forum.

Is there anyway to automatically add bots when you start a server? I gets annoying to have to type the console commands every time I start up a game in order to add bots.

Thanks, in advance.

make an autoexec.cfg in the cfg folder using notepad

and put in it

rcbot max_bots 10

for 10 bots

and..

rcbot min_bots 1

so that players can join, or you can leave it the way it is

but this will just add random bots

Firstly I want to thank you guys for Rcbot, Very Cool!! I look forward to the updates!! (Almost more than the Official TF2 Updates) Great Work!! I'm having fun with the new scripting, just did cp_warpath (yea I know, but it was good practice).

I was trying to autoload bots with the autoexe.cfg (like above) but no luck.
I added the +plugin_load ..\bin\HPB_Bot2 to the launch options, start a map but no bots.
does the cfg auto load, I am fairly new to this.

Thanks again!

autoexec.cfg is not a good place to start when using "rcbot addbot" because it executes when the game is laoded, not when a map is loaded. The best way to automatically add bots (But random bots) at the present moment is to use min_bots and max_bots commands in autoexec.cfg AFTER loading the plugin. also add a wait command to allow time for the plugin to load.

A new feature to be added will be a bot config file (which really should have been implemented already)

by the way just to reiterate , it is autoexec.cfg NOT autoexe.cfg
