Hi it's a very cool and nice bot for TF2 thankyou i'm very happy with it.I noticed a few problems on a listen server with 31 bots and me the game crashes tongue.gif also is there a way to make bots allways face incoming attacks.The other problem i saw was the bots like to ingnore so called soild map objects.One other qestion i know how crazy you coders are so i guess Cheeseh smokes the cheese also to chill from the code? biggrin.gif

The instruction at 0x11969352 referenced at 0x16a9ce1ce the memory could not be read.

Is anybody gonna fix this crash please.I'm running default setup for TF2 no custom content or plug in's on a listen server.The bot is perfectly fine apart from this crash eveytime this happens theres no way back to desktop i have to reboot the pc.

From my experiences with it so far, it seems to be related to the engineer's buildings. As long as there is no engineer bots or players building sentry guns/dispensers/teleporters, it doesn't seem to crash.

Just kick any bots that are engineers and give it a try, as long as no buildings are constructed you should be fine. biggrin.gif

I'm hoping this will be fixed in the next update.

I'm thinkin it could be ram related cause on my old computer i had 1 gb of ram and would have these crashes
but when i got my new gaming rig which has 4 gb of ram i dont have these crashes anymore.

I highly doubt it's a ram issues got 3.5 gbs here also?

Ok Cheeseh m8 will try this thankyou very much.You may even remember from my old alias Sydslag i tested for Jowo aka Johan Linde (Sturmbot) for many years.

One other thing i noticed i think it could be a bug.I notice sniper bots don't seem to understand when a sniper waypoint is busy perhaps they could move to next empty sniper spot?

Well 3 hours non stop on a listen server theres been no crash yet looks good.
I was thinking maybe an easier wat to add bots with botmenu

Add class skill team

Add bot

Kick bot

Fill server

Kick all

Kick team 1/2

I didn't look at waypoints yet but i'm thinking for unbalanced custom maps

Waypoint team specific 1/2

Waypoint non team specific

I dunno if these are good ideas

Or if the bots can listen for friendy/unfriendly footsteps

Doesn't really matter,for if they get on their sniper points,they won't snipe. when Cheeseh added the 'bots listen to sounds and look around them occasionally',sniper bots don't aim where they're supposed to,instead they aim all over the place,not attacking any enemy near melee range.

i've noticed a bug with the latest version as a result of changing rcbot_defrate, it reduces bots to roam around on CP maps even when as red team, so increase rcbot_defrate for these maps for the time being

I have tested 0.52_beta on my home test server with Tom Hacker's manager and it runs without any crashing issues (ie the mem could not be read error), performance is excellent, and with 12 bots only about 25% on one CPU. When I set it up on a rented server, it runs fine for while and then crashes.

Any ideas on what to look for??

Thanks for the hard work.

the fact that it crashes isn't much info, really needs to be run in debug mode, while a debugger is running (with the source code preferably) for any real info.

Only 12 bots? me allways runs 31 bots plus me.Rocksoild so far and it's been many many hours.I also don't see a performace hit yet.My spec below is

9600GT

2.4GHZ Quad core

3.5GB'S OF DDR
