Cant add bots!!! Options

I have installed the bot with metamod and your lastetst bot dll.
When game starts the message Rcbot for Half-Life: metamod plugin attachet is displayed.
The command rcbot addbot doesnt work and any other commands. The bot menu also doesnt work. There is no command when i type any bot commands in the console.

Please Help me!!!

I have testet the bot with Ns and Bumper Cars and allways the same!!!

are you rinning the bot on a server that you are connecting to?

alright, type "developer 1" in console and try adding a bot again, see if it gives you a message.

First thing, looks as though the bot dll is loading as you said it says "RCBot plugin attaching" but it might not be installed to the right directory...

Are you sure the rcbot dll is in "[half life folder]/rcbot/dlls" ?

And that there are bot profiles in "[half life folder]/rcbot/botprofiles" (ini files that start with numbers).

And there are the bot profile numbers in the bot_profiles.ini file?

I'm guessing it can't find these files...

i have tried out the new dl, it doesnt work.
And the other things are all normal!!!
i am using counter-strike retail! is the bot combilitabe to cs retail???

it hould be please make sure it is installed to the correct folder! where is your rcbot folder?

You know cheeseh, there was this mind boggling issue with installing foxbot with CS and DoD retail, an issue we are still unable to solve.

My best advice would be to look through your your counter-strike folder and find the directory the contains the NS folder and the hl.exe file. Your entire rcbot folder should go in the same directory where these two other files are.

Once you find that directory, please post the complete path to that directory so we can help others as well help you.

Ok, just so I understand this clearly, in your D:\Sierra\Counter-Strike directory, there is an hl.exe along with all your added mods as in cstrike, tfc, valve, ns and so on, correct?

thats right! but its the cstrike.exe!

The folder must contain the hl.exe. You can not subsutute this file, IT IS A MUST!

It doesnt matter if there is an hl.exe or cstrike.exe it doesnt look for them.

If you are using steam I dont think they will work yet until a new steam update.

Cheeseh, rcbot 1.01 does work with steam.

But as I said earlyer, I am a member of the foxbot beta testing team and we did encounter problems with installing foxbot in counter-strike and day-of-defeat retail versions. We never found the fix because the users had no clue of what they were doing. Rcbot installs to the exact same directory that foxbot does and this same problem I faced with foxbot tech support has come again but with rcbot now.

I want to try and help you fix this Black_Hunter but I am going to need some more detailed information. I have not seen either of the DoD or CS retail versions so I will need to know thier directory structures.

1. What is the exact directory to where you can find the valve, tfc, ns and cstrike folders? Are they all in the same directory?
2. Were is rcbot 1.0+ currently installed?
3. Are you loading rcbot via metamod, localinfo runline or by liblist.gam file? Please post command line and method of execution.
4. Are you using any other mods? i.e: adminmod

Lets start with this and continue from here.

RCbot expects your present working directory to be the main halflife folder.

If you are using a shortcut to load NS make sure that (in the shortcut properties) that the shortcut has a working directory and it is your half-life folder.
