I Installed rcbot for Steam with Ns 3.0 beta 5 and dedicated server aand its installed but when i start the server it says this
[RCBOT>] BUG: Cannot open/write to bot player id file Report bugs to : Cheeseh (cheeseh@bots-united.com) and i dont know whats wrong |

Sounds as if the botprofiles folder or it's contents maybe missing. Check the rcbot/botprofiles folder for any numbered .ini files. There should be 25 of them.
Also, check the rcbot folder for the bot_playerids.ini and make sure it's not write protected or corrupted. It is safe to delete this file. Rcbot will automaticly recreate it again. |

well i checked the bots profile folder thing and there this 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 im over what u said is that bad? and i also have common_hal.aux common_hal.ban common_hal.swp
common_hal.trn Soo i dotn know if i should delete soem of those till i get to 25 like u said or what? and i dont know where that bot_playerids.ini file is so i think mabe thats the problem unless i looked in the wrong place u said bot_playerids.ini is just in the rcbot folder in addons right? |

Noooooo!!!! rcbot should be in the Half-life/ folder! you've got rcbot installed in the wrong directory as sandman suggested. |

oh yea also its working so i dont think i installed it in the wrong spot because

Yeah it can still load the dll file as long as you wrote "addons/rcbot/dlls/rcbot.dll...." or whatever in liblist.gam/plugins.ini (whatever you use), but what I mean is, DONT do that!! Make it point to "../rcbot/dlls/rcbot.dll" and put the rcbot folder in half-life root folder.
The program won't be able to find files because it always, always looks in half-life/rcbot |

And you don't need the metamod.dll in the plugins.ini. This loads solely from the liblist.gam file.

alright so i put rcbot in steam/steamapps/halflife cas if thats it i dont se a libist file in there [and yes i know what the libist file is] or do i have to go in halflife/valve or somthing cas its like that for cs because u have to go in counter strike/cs?? so is it steam half life or steam half life valve or somthing?
