ever since i have installed rcbot, everytime i start a server up in halflife or a 3rd party mod not including TFC, CS, or DOD nothing happens. if i try running one again, the game simply crashes without an error message. How do i fix this?

Well, first off, TFC, CS and DoD are NOT 3rd party mods. Contrary to popular belief, these ( and a few others ) come with the steam version of half-life.
If you need help with crashes believed to be caused by an improperly installed plugin or 3rd party mod then please state this information as best as you can as for, as good as we think we maybe, we are NOT mind readers. Please provide the following.... Mod in question and version if possable. Plugins installed. i.e: metamod, rcbot and so-on. Platform you are using. Won or Steam. Steps taken to install said plugin or mod to date. Your operating system. Windows or other? |

well see here is the thing, its not just one mod in question, it is all of the mods that are installed into the /steamapps/halflife folder. i have rcbot installed and i have the latest version of metamod installed. i am using steam and i am using windows xp. i dont know much else to tell you, i thought some other people would be having this problem...

Ok, how about this. Does steam or any of it's mods crash when you join someone else's server?

Soooo.. you start up any mod for HL.. and.. it crashes.. because you installed rcbot... which won't even attempt to load unless you modify the liblist.gam for each of those mods...
...uninstall rcbot and see if it still crashes... |

i already tried uninstalling it and it still does not work, and no, my game doesnt crash when i join other people's server, just when i create my own

Sounds as if joker has completely fubared his installation and the information he is providing is less then helpful.
Joker, lets try this. Is this for steam or won? List the mod/s you attempted to install rcbot on. What metamod version used and the location of the metamod.dll. The rcbot_mm.dll location and version and finally, copy and paste the contents of your liblist.gam files contents for the mod/s in question. |
