I hope what i'm trying to do is both possible and actually effective.

rather than torture online players with my commander skills, i'd like to play with bots on my own and practice being a better commander. to do this i'd need reasonably challenging/smart aliens and marines.

when i install you RCBot i got it work it but the aliens just kinda hang out.. and the marines.. i think the next step for them is to hold hands and sing kumbiah..

so i'd like them to be a little more aggressive and the marines to actually build things rather than run around in random circles and such..

I've tried several bots and this one seems to be the closest to working well.

Sounds to me like they have no waypoints. Check the waypoints forum or waypoint-world.com

hmm.. last post didn't take..

yea i have waypoints, but don't know where they go in terms of path..

there must be some kind of easy way to do it.. i see tutorials and so on, but it's like.. come on.. some could just make a zip of the addmod folder and it would be overwith. I mean there are like 3 different bots i know of.. i kinda get some to work and others don't.. it just doesn't seem like it should require a bunch of trickery and trial and error.. could someone email me a zip of their folder?

if you are using ns 3.1 you need to get the temp DLL i posted on the forums, it isn't on the filebase yet.
