 can't add bot, error saying game not started |

when i start a game with just latest metamod and rcbot
it loads but when i try to add bot through bot menu or console "rcbot addbot" bot is not added and in console it gives this error: adding bot through botmenu: Oaktree has joined the Frontiersmen Unknown command: menuselect [RCBOT>] ERROR: Game not started yet! Unknown command: menuse adding bot through "addbot" command: ] rcbot addbot [RCBOT>] ERROR: Game not started yet! [RCBOT>] The bot command addbot returned an erro plz help me with this problem. also every time i exit console and resume game it says "game set to 1.5000(or 1.53434)". Hope i gave you enough info. ty for your time. |

the game "deathmatch" variable must be 1.
i.e. you must be in multiplayer and max players more than 1. If it is then just set "deathmatch 1" in console and restart the game/level |

the deathmatch 1 thingy worked but have another problem...... when i play offline with no internet the game won't start and says something like the ticket verification failed or failed to reach server..... and when i do get to start a game(turning off steam and turning it back on repeatedly) the maxplayer is set to 1 and i can't change it during server is on.. so plz help me........ i'm desperate, because i don't have internet always..... ty |

when max players is 1 it means you are running a single player game, you must set maxplayers to more than 1 when starting the server (Set it in the server properties in some way either by listenserver.cfg server.cfg or when booting the program with the +maxplayers <players> command).
im guessing thats what the main problem is... go to steampowered.com and goto the support section to see what the ticket error means |

ty i'll try what you've said
and i'm gonna have to battle in the steam forum..... TT they made it so that you have to play online after reboot of computer to play offline which i think is stupid.......... i guess also that when offline they set all game to be singleplayer...... ty i'll reply again if i made any progress.... which will hopefully coming weekend since that is only time i am allowed spend time on games ty |
