I have Rocket Crowbar v19, steam, and metamod installed in the rocket crowbar folder, but when I add a bot in Rocket Crowbar, they get added and show up in the playerlist but don't physically appear or start playing.
my metamod plugins.ini says: win32 /dlls/rc.dll win32 ../rcbot/dlls/rcbot_mm.dll The only message I have seen in the console at all is this that sometimes appears after adding a bot: Warning: GetClientRep(): Bad pClient received (NULL) returning default. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch!! |

use the very very old rcbot for Rocket crowbar 1.9, NOT the latest one
I'm talking this one: http://rcbot.bots-united.com/downloads/bot...cbot_rcb150.zip |

Just now saw this reply. Didn't get an email notif as expected.... I tried that version and used the shortcut hl.exe -game rockcrowbar -dll /dll/rcbot.dll and now it kicks me out to windows when I create a server and click the start icon. So, it kicks me out to the desktop before even loading a map, without visible errors.
Any ideas? Someone else (Sandman[SA]) told me that there is a newer Rocket Crowbar version out there. What version of rcbot will best work with a v2.x Rocket Crowbar? OR....or, is there another way, that you may recommend, to play Rocket Crowbar with bots? Thanks!! ![]() |

1) No, the rcbot folder needs to move 1 directory back to the half-life folder. Having rcbot in your rc folder will cause tons of warning and error messages, possably even crash half-life. 2) The rc.dll is NOT a metamod compatable file so you don't need that in your plugins.ini. Also, the latest rcbot versions don't support rc v19. Try the older rcbot v150 or I think even rcbot v0.3 may support the old rc mod. Either of which DON'T support metamod. They are stand-alone only. Also note that these older rcbot versions install into your mod of choice directory. If you need help installing them, feel free to start a new topic. |
