I do it exactly how it says to do it, just when I go type in console 'rcbot set_pass X' it says it works, then I go to 'rcbot addbot' and it says you do not have permission, I tried both my name and my steam id in the bot user file, but it still doesn't work. What is wrong?

It also says this when I join the game in my dedicated console:

"[RCBOT>] BUG: Cannot open/write to bot player id file Report bugs to Cheeseh (cheeseh@bots-united.com)"

you need to install the bot to the correct folder i.e. half-life/rcbot (NOT half-life/ns/rcbot and NOT half-life/ns/addons/rcbot)
