Here's another beach map gameplay simplification just like dod_strand_semperfi.
Changes are: - Axis Spawn points relocation. - Instant respawn. - Map has one goal now and that is to capture the 2 big guns so gameplay is concentrated to beach area and on top making the map feel smaller, fast paced and hopefully fun. ![]() Also added ... dod_donner - wpts update, no buggy sniping/mg spots and some further refinement. dod_anzio ...fully rewaypointed! - I love this map and just wanted a wpt that's fully refine to my liking and style. - bots spread out more and deleted unecessary sniping/mg spots especially the room near the bridge where the bot can't shoot bec. the glass window is blocking it's tracelines. - Church tower snipers shoot much better now. - so either overwrite the original one created by Master CHeezey or just make another copy of the map and rename it accordingly to use the other wpt named differently. Heh heh, i think I kinda mis-stated what i ment to say, the dsl will only be temporary when I go over to a friends place
![]() That WN-71 map sure looks cool in the images, i'll have to download it too, when i get a chance. ![]() Yeah, RO has bots. They sorta work on most the official maps that comes with steam, which includes a community made mappack, i believe. I also have the RO mod version for UT2004, I am a bit of a Unreal/UT nut/fan, love the UT series, it's a great game engine, been playing it slightly longer than HL1, since 2000 i think.. In native UT the bots work great, but sometimes they don't adapt to well to "realism" type mods, like RO. It does seem they did do some work on the AI for the retail RO, like adding some avoidance code, so bot driving tanks don't crash into other tanks/vehicles, or run over infantry. The pathnodes for maps seems better on most maps, bots spread out better, but I still see pathnode problems, mostly with vehicles. They can kill you, and I have found it difficult to win many of the maps, partly because it's hard to get bots to do what you want them to do, and partly because of the complexity of the game & some maps. Bots are not the quality of rcbot2, they could of polished them much more than they did it seems to me. It seems only certian classes of bots work, I haven't seen any MG or demolition bots running around? With all the faults with the bots, it's still fun to get in a tank and blast away ![]() btw, seems all my fileden links went dead (yours too!), sometime over the last week ![]() max |
