I was just playing with RCbot 1.2 on ns_bast with four alien bots and 3 marine bots (i was on marine team). The marine bots were working really well together and teaming up and following orders i set as the commander and i managed to get them to take out the enemy hive. This is strange as on alot of maps eg. ns_mineshaft they just stay around the base and dont even build any of the buildings i place. I don't know alot about programming so is this because of better waypoints or is it just a fluke?

However, while the marine team were playing quite well the aliens seemed quite lacking in a set task. While the skulks came out of the base a bit and harassed my base (they were no match for my marines LMGs and shotguns) the gorges seemed to mope around the base a bit and not do anything. When the gorges did come out of the base they just ran around outside where a res point is (they started at engine room) and fell as an easy prey to myself and my team. I could of solved this problem and would of had alot more fun if i had used RC bot and Which bot together but the mirrors for downloading RC bot with metamod werent working so i could only download the not-metamod version.

ns_bast is not going to be in the official ns 3 release

Thank god for small favors. I never did like that map BUT, if you want to use ns_bast in NS 3.0. it should play just fine. And, since there will be no changes in the map, the waypoints should still work.
