im trying to set up a lan server for me and a few friends to play on, i have metamod, amxmod, rcbot and whichbot installed.
everything works fine except rcbot. the marine bot's seem to run off on there own, they don't build and they don't listen to their commands. the waypoint file is there. I have revised the install intructions over and over again to make sure i havent done anything wrong, i have also searched and cannot find anything on this subject. im a bit baffled, any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks Squin |

Also, make 100% sure the waypoints you put in the rcbot/waypoints/nsp folder have waypoints written for NS 3.0. Seems the new version of NS maps have been compiled with a new hullfile and in turn, changed the floor level hight of all the updated maps.
Any NS 2.0 default map waypoints used on NS 3.0 default maps will appear below floor level of the maps and are no longer visible there-for, won't work. The easyest way to tell if your waypoint file still works is start up a lan game and open the console and type: rcbot waypoint on then hit [enter] Then join any team and look around for what looks like thin blue lightning strikes standing on the ground. Those of you unfamilure with them, those are waypoints. If you see them, your good to go. If you don't see any waypoints in the map and your 100% sure you have a .rcw file for that map then check the waypoints board in this forum for the updates. |
