hey everyone! havin some trouble, steam is making it hard to install the bot. How do I install the bot in the "steamapps/half-life/ns" directory? Ive browsed this entire forum but everything ive tried fails. How should the liblist read? how should all the files in the rcbot file be placed at? please respond thanks.\

Ok, sounds like you put the rcbot folder in the wrong directory. For steam, the rcbot folder ( complete with all of it's contents ) will need to go here:
QUOTE
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<my email address>\half-life

DO NOT PUT RCBOT INSIDE THE NS FOLDER!

Since it's always best to use the metamod version, we are going to go that route. You can use RCbot 1.3 for this application but be sure you have Metamod 1.7 installed in your :
QUOTE
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<my email address>\half-life\ns\addons\metamod\dlls
folder. Now you should edit the liblist.gam with notepad.exe. Replace the:
CODE
gamedll "gamedll "dlls\ns.dll"
with:
CODE
gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"

Save and close this file.

Next, go to your:
QUOTE
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<my email address>\half-life\ns\addons\metamod
folder and edit the plugins.ini with notepad.exe. Your going to add the following to your plugins.ini:
CODE
win32 ../rcbot/dlls/rcbot_mm.dll

Save and close the file.

RCbot is now installed and should be ready for use.
