I've recently downloaded the HPB_Bot.dll file (I got the SECOND one Cheeseh posted, on page #2 of the "about rcbot 0.3 and 1.31, aiming code" thread), and I remember I've updated all the 25 RCBot profiles with the following text:

#
# skill = 0.0 to 1.0
# ------------------
# 0.0 is normal old rcbot aiming
# 1.0 is dead on precision
#
# I'd make this slightly more than 0.0 but not much
aim_skill=0.05
#
# time = 0.0 to infinity (make it something useful!)
# --------------------------------------------------
# time in seconds for bot to update its aiming offset
# the less time then the more dead on its aiming will
# be even if the target is accelerating
aim_time=1.0;
#
# the speed is the fraction of 10 degrees per frame
# the old rcbot was 2 degrees per frame
# so the higher you make this then the faster the bot
# will move its aiming
# this value now is just a bit better than the old rcbot
# aiming
aim_speed=0.25

Unfortunately...something wrong had to happen somewhere and now my RCBot doesn't work anymore WITH WhichBot dry.gif
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So...here how my Liblist.gam file exactly looks like at the moment:

////////////////////////////
// Natural Selection //
//by Charlie Cleveland //
////////////////////////////
game "Natural Selection (beta)"

url_info "www.natural-selection.org"

url_dl "http://www.natural-selection.org/"

version "v3.0"

size "165000000"

svonly "0"

secure "0"

cldll "cl_dlls\client.dll"

hlversion "1110"

// How to allow training but disable "New game"?
type "multiplayer_only"

// Don't show models in browser
nomodels "1"
nohimodel "1"

// Only show NS-compliant maps
mpentity "info_mapinfo"

// Using HPB_bot support for now
gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"
gamedll "dlls\rcbot.dll"

// Training map
//trainmap "ns_training"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, here's how my metamod/plugins.ini file exactly is:

#
# $Id: plugins.ini,v 1.3 2003/05/19 06:55:08 clamatius Exp $

win32 addons/whichbot/dlls/whichbot.dll
win32 ..rcbot/dlls/HPB_bot.dll
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the rcbot readme, as for the installation when using MetaMod, it says:

"Make sure you have downloaded the METAMOD version of the bot for WINDOWS."
-Yes I did so. It worked three days ago heh huh.gif

"Extract the zip into the Half-life folder, make sure all files are
in the Half-Life folder/rcbot directory."
-No problems there as well.

"Go into addons/metamod directory and EDIT the plugins.ini file

Add the line:

win32 ../rcbot/dlls/rcbot_mm.dll

to the file."
-Yes, I did so BEFORE changing the "rcbot_mm.dll" to "HPB_bot.dll". So now it looks like "../rcbot/dlls/HPB_bot.dll". Cheeseh asked to do that, so I did it.

I can't remember if I changed anything else. It's probable because I didn't change anything else actually. Everything worked alright like three days ago, last time I made a game with both RCBot and WhichBot.

Does anyone here got any idea what I could have done wrong ? unsure.gif And what should I look at just to be sure ?

Because right now only my WhichBot works. And it works great. It's the new version, by the way, v0.92.

Thanks for your time. biggrin.gif
