I reciently purchased a rack server also to run a second server.
I Have rcbot runing on my server here where I have access to the root half-life directory.

But here is my issue.
On the rack server I do not have access to the root half-life directory.
Is there a way to plug the rcbot folder under the directory which I do have access to (the /half-life/nsp directory)

Any info would be great.
Would like to put bots on the server untill peak times when there are players.

Thanks for any input all.

I'm afraid you must have access to the hlds root directory to install and use rcbot simply because rcbot does not support the addons directory structure standerd like almost everything else metamod compatable can.

Also, that method that grunt tryed to coach you on would not work in steam anyway because the hlds.exe can't read sub-directories beyond the normal standerd. For that to work, you would need to create a new folder that was an exact match of the hlserver folder.

So it would appear something like this....
C:/hlserver/server

But, even that would prove useless if the server owner does not update the server restart app runline.

So it looks as if you have only 2 options.
1) Beg and plead with the server owner for access to the hlds root directory.
2) If that fails, your SOL. Your only option at that point is whichbot.
