Gday all,

Im having a problem running RCbot for NS.
I've Installed it Through Standalone, and I can add bots and everything, but just at a random time after I've added them, the game will crash and freeze. and for some reason the bots are really stupid, they wont even go out of the respawn, they just run into walls, they'll build stuff, but thats it.

I run:

win98SE
P3 700Mhz
Nvidia Geforce2 TNT2 Pro 64mb

I Installed the 0.3 version before the 1.3 version, that worked ok but it crashed a lot more. So now I installed the 1.3 version, but without metamod. Will I need that? is it absolutely nesscesary? Is it hard to use?

As I said, I might only add a couple of bots, but after say, 3 minutes of gameplay, everything will just crash.

Ok Rancid, your going to need some updates to play in NS 3.0 beta 5. First, you are going to need metamod 1.17.2.1 if your running windows. You should be able to find that at modns.org. Then your going to need the latest rcbot beta patch which can be found on these forums. Lastly, you'll need to check out the waypoints for NS section of this forum for the updated waypoints for NS 3.0 beta 5.

Since your runing NS 3.0 beta 5, your rcbot/waypoints folder must contain a folder named "ns". In that ns folder is where you need to put the updated waypoints because the waypoints that shipped in the rcbot 1.3 release are out-dated and are no longer usable.
