Hi there!

Female hl2dm-player here, that saw your bot.

But I can't get it to work

I install HPB_bot2.dll in SteamApps\*my steamname*\half-life 2 deathmatch\bin

I then install HPB_bot2.vdf in SteamApps\*my steamname*\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp\addons

Then I found this waypint -> http://www.filesources.de/dm_overwatch.rar, and I install it in SteamApps\*my steamname*\rcbot2\waypoints\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp

I then started hl2dm, and in the console I wrote "plugin_load hpb_bot2" and the plugin is loaded correctly.

Then I load up the map, and when I pull down the console and write rcbot addbot , I get the error-message "You don't have access to this comand" or someting similar.

What's wrong? Can you help me?

I am sure I have missed something, but the time is really late now here in Sweden, so I will give this bot a go tomorrow.

Thanks in advance!

/Sarah

You don't need to use the plugin_load command if you have the .vdf file in the the addons folder.

If it still doesn't work if you try adding a bot without using the command above... try opening the file <steam folder>/steamapps/<email>/rcbot2/config/accessclients.ini and add your steam id in the list

e.g.

"STEAM_ID_LAN" 1023

or whatever your steam id is, if you are on a lan i think that should work. Reload the game and the bot after editing the file. 1023 is just the bits for the access, lots of bits set to 1 in 1023 so it should work if it reads the file!
