NS Commander - I Wish Options

Hi Cheeseh, MarD, and everyone,

I really wish I could find someway of getting in contact with the NS developers. If we could just get the right codes we need. Or what we would need. My brother really loves Natural Selection. I'm starting to love it a lot. When my brother isn't playing, it's hard for me to enjoy the game. I heard in the BETA 1.4 topic, MarD say that we still need some information. I guess we're all out of luck now. RCBot is really great. Like MarD said, the NS developers don't care that we love bots. But for someone like me, that his only option to the internet is, dial-up.

I've been spectating NS games. People are really nice, even though my ping is about 500ms. They never kick me from the game. Just watching other's play, gets me down. Having some of the bots be commnander would be great! So I could do some shooting, without having to worry on what to build.

I?ve tried it on a listen server; it drops ammo and med pack when you ask for them and also drops weapons when you spawn back in. It doesn?t seem to drop HA, JP or get upgrades, though but it does electrify everything. It also drops sieges before the TF is upgraded. And the sieges can sometimes damage them selves when they fire.

The main problem with it is the res towers it drops don?t give the marines any res and in combat games it will drop weapons, ammo and med packs. It also doesn?t spend any res when dropping things. It can also drop building closer than they could normally be placed next to each other, ive seen turrets and ips overlapping each other.

The plugin still runs when someone enters the command chair, so while you?re in the chair dropping structures the plugin is dropping things too, which can get kind of distracting. Also since the plugin replaces structures that are destroyed, you can continuously recycle structures and it will keep dropping them again (which kind of makes up for the res towers not giving any res ).
