Server ran for 24hrs no problems. biggrin.gif

Have now Re-enabled Rcbot and it Crashes after 1hr plus. sad.gif

Trying Metamod Zodiac recommends now to see if that stabalises situation. unsure.gif

I know its a stupid idea Cheeseh, isnt there something you could write that we could capture the problem for you once and for all? Maybe an external exe that monitors the dll or summat, and provides crash data when something goes wrong?

@ flash, put the players name in where the name should go, it will help you and its confusing the bot, its overwriting the same user so you will only have the guy at the end of the file having access.

It doesn't even need to be their game name, it can be "me" and "my friend" for all the bot cares, all its looking for are DIFFERENT names with DIFFERENT Steam IDS, what its seeing is ONE name with DIFFERENT Steam IDS.

we need to get rid of the crash

download the latest DLL, just changed it, download the latest SOURCE if you can use it, just updated that too.

Attention: Access levels changed: rcbot users command can only be accessed with certain access level, see the updated Access level help page here:

@gruuunt, I don'tt know what kind of crash Info i'd need, a stack trace would be good but would require lots of additional stuff which would just mess up the code and slow everything down, I'm sure there is a better way though :/

FYI

Metamod 1.17.1p9 appears to be running well. I ran it all yesterday with a packed server and it appears to be stable and higher performance than the previous. WOW!!!

Worth checking it out guys

em yea, they already pick up on that, but I dont want marines to just simply not see the alien, you can still see aliens when they are cloaked, just not as well, so marnies only see them when they are closer to them.

I got a crash, but it was in ns.dll, so I couldn't get any crash information for you Senor Cheese.. sad.gif Though, it wasn't hpb_bot.dll that crashed, so yay! laugh.gif

I'm runnin your latest source, and that new revision of metamod, so we'll see what that brings around...

Make sure you have the config.ini in Metamod set up correctly and placed in the right location if you are using Metamod 1.17.1p9. If you don't you can get unexpected results.

I read all the crap, and it uses standard default values for everything, the only thing I changed is...

Cause I remember like last week sometime my server crashed, and I looked at the console before it closed, and saw someone say "meta list" in their console... so now they cant! hah!

in ns classic it depends on the amount of chambers they have, with 1 sensory chamber u can easily spot a cloaked alien, with 2, theyre a little harder to see, with level 3 theyre completely invisible stationary or moving slowly. and in combat when u upgrade cloaking u get level 3 straight away so they r impossible to see

Yeah, I believe when you are cloaked at lvl 3 you are completely invisable.

Oh and one other thing. Maybe its because I was playing a custom map without waypoints, but the bots made glass a priority over aliens. So the bots would just shoot the glass (which had a lot of health) and ignore the aliens that were chewing them up. Make it so their priorities are to shoot aliens instead of the glass.

you can still see them, just slightly.

I don't want my bots to just totally ignore them, what else can they do, I have mentioned this before.

If they don't shoot them then ppl will go "ADMIN WHY ARE THESES GUYS NOT SHOOTING THE ALIENSSS!11!1?//?" biggrin.gif
