Hey Cheeseh,

Cool, thanks for new version... I will install soon... smile.gif

1. Any tips for using route wpts in dods? I found this topic for TF2.
http://rcbot.bots-united.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1419

2. Are route wpts the same as navigation wpts used with other bots? i.e. put them on paths bots rarely use (longer path), to get bots to take the longer path to a goal... Should they be placed in the shortest direct path to a goal, or not?

3. I used a command to show routes a while back (mental glitch blink.gif , rcbot_something?), would that be useful for placing route wpts?

4.

So, some features/functions require route wpts, do you expect more functions will depend on route wpts in the future?

5. And finally, are route wpts required now, or just optional?

Nice... Thanks... wink.gif

1. yes, the tf2 method is the same
2. put them on short and long paths. First the bots will find a route waypoint for the goal, and then go from the route waypoint to the goal. So they will take the shortest route from the route waypoint to the goal but not from the first point to the route waypoint. Be careful that you don't want a bot going to a route waypoint and then turning back again, so don't place the route waypoint in short routes, place them a bit closer to the goal.

3. i'll confirm 3 later
4. not really. only this function is useful for route waypoints

edit:

also I included edited dod_donner waypoints with routes in them, you can have a look
