I didn't figure out where to put this, so I put it here.
I waypointed a custom map (ctf_2fort_classicv2) and put some bots in the game,after saving. Now,after the bots have died a couple of times and respawn,they just stand in the base,and do nothing! when I typed 'rcbot debug bot "lam3r"' into the console, this error starts spamming: [RCBot] [DEBUG navigation] (lam3r):Trying to work out route [RCBot] [DEBUG navigation] (lam3r):Route failed What's the cause? this has happened a couple of times in other maps I waypointed. |

It's probably because they have failed to get to a waypoint several times and they try to avoid it and they have no more waypoints to go to, eventually they will run again as normal. One way to improve it is to check for bad waypoint paths they keep failing with (e.g. falling off ledges etc) or bumping into walls

One way to improve it is to check for bad waypoint paths they keep failing with (e.g. falling off ledges etc) or bumping into walls the waypoints are like shown below. A...................E-------------> I....................I I....................I B-------D------R I....................I I....................I C...................F-------------> The above is the RED & BLU base waypoints. The D is a door,and the R is an resupply. The 2 waypoints going down from F and E lead to the sniper roof on the map. edit:the dots dont mean anything. They just make the map stand put,and not get smashed by the 'auto deleting extra spaces' thing.The lines ( - <-that one) and the I's are the directions the bot can use. lines in horizontal,and the I's in vertical. edit2:theres no spots for the bots to jam in the walls,and as for the falling off ledges,those I use with a waypoint, and a givetype jump and I also make sure they wont try to go back to the waypoint,thats above them. In short,I make bots jump down the ledges. |

No, but adding waypoints work, since TF2 only crashes when you add a bot.
