I've followed the install guide.
I've read the "for slow people" guide. I've searched these forums and used google. I've placed the rcbots directory in every single directory possible... yet metamod still doesn't see the rcbot file and I get "badf". In metamod I've got - linux ../rcbot/dlls/rcbot_mm_i486.so - and I'm serious about having the rcbot files in every single directory! (Even added it to my AdminMod directory so it would mirror the location for the admin file). Using Mandrake 9.2. Using the Steam HLDS. Wanted to use it for NS. Have done this on a Windoze machine and it worked like a dream - but this is more like a nightmare. Every single time I check the meta list it says : [ 2] <rcbot_mm_i486. badf load rcbot_mm_i486.so v - ini - - Please help. |

I was not aware that there is an "official" rcbot Linux platfom release that is compatable with NS 3.0. When did this happen?

Ok - well that answers it then! I've just looked back at the site and realised that the last linux version was 1.3 and it doesn't say it's for NS3... (though it doesn't say what it is for...) Perhaps I could have just saved myself a few hours of installing linux, hlds, updates etc and fighting with rcbot locations in metamod. Oh well, back to Windoze! Thanks for the reply anyway! |
