The work for this was done by me, and I am new to doing waypoints for maps.
I am sure this can be improved on and am open to suggestions on other points on the map.

However, I am having a problem with the bots getting hung up in the spawn area.
I've looked at the original ctf_2fort waypoints and tried to duplicate that as well with the same results of the bots not exiting the spawn.

Watching the debug, it says it can't resolve the path but other bots are just fine and DO exit the spawn without issue.

Any ideas as to why this is happening or what I may have done incorrectly?

I am currently using RCBot 0.52

have you made sure they can get out of the spawn?
placed the flag givetypes correctly?
gave them the capture spots where they take the intel?

or,if you might have an issue i had with a map once, try going to your teams intel spot and removing its team restriction, allowing red to go and swipe the red intel.
if they run in the intel spot, you're screwed.
I never figured out the issue biggrin.gif

Have you checked the paths between the waypoints?

Have you checked the paths between the waypoints?

use

rcbot debug nav 1

see what the problem is
also use

rcbot debug bot <botname> to select a bot to debug, (i.e. one in the spawn)

Sorry for the delay. I updated to RCBot 0.53 BETA. There seems to be some improvement.
I have included a screenshot of two bots hung up in the spawn room. (Yes there are two bots there - one demo, one pyro)

A scout and a sniper just exited the very same spawn room successfully, yet these two (and it isn't always the same two), seem to just stop ans start jumping around. As you can see in the screenshot, there is nothing between them and the exit. The doors open and they could exit IF THEY WENT TO THE NEXT POINT (other bots did it).

[RCBot] [DEBUG navigation] (FireBug):Trying to work out route
[RCBot] [DEBUG navigation] (FireBug):Route failed
[RCBot] [DEBUG navigation] (FireBug):Trying to work out route
[RCBot] [DEBUG navigation] (FireBug):Route failed
(repeat ad nauseum)

This is the same for each bot that hangs.

The map is a 2 fort map variation. I initially set the spawn room way points to be the same as the original 2_fort.

Other bots seem to make it to the opponent's intel room and all points in between.

Since other bots are making it out, I am assuming that the paths are good.

sounds to me like some of the spawn points dont have good paths... this would account for some working and some not... i would add a couple more waypoints to spawn area, and make sure to optomise the spawn... (remove extra paths) as this can cause the bot to behave erraticly... if none of this works, then you could try to increase the pathrevs (this helps the bot find a path quicker...) also make sure none of the paths pass through a solid object as the bot will try (and fail) to use the path... they are not smart enough to circumnavigate solid objects that block path... (this also happens when point or path are too close to wall...(bot needs sholder room to pass by wall corners etc...)

in conclusion, just cause some can get out does not necessarily mean your point/paths are good.... some may be good and others may be fubar...i bet if u look at your waypoint paths azgain you will see some passing through objects or walls... any bot that tries to use these paths will behave exactly as you have described...

hope this helps
