This... is a freakin fair lot of work.. or atleast I think it would be.. but do you think ...and this would probably give you fair reason to hate me.. have the bots record locations of buildings that the see, in each map into a file... then based off that file, place buildings?

I dunno if that was cohesive.. so I'll do it with my crappy pictures!!! biggrin.gif

Then after 10 or so rounds of recording stuff on each of the maps, they try to average out the locations of the objects they recorded, and figure out where people usually put stuff, then put the stuff there..

So all the ghosty looking shapes are .. i guess a turret factory and an armory, then it'd add all the values and average them together, then when they're "commandering" they put the structures there.. or something...


..i forsee a "skitchy, youre a damn idiot" biggrin.gif

I'd like to use navmeshes again for commanding. Yea that worked but the main thing didn't work... The acutal bots commanding. It was a hack etc, and it left imprints of bugs on the server tongue.gif more Likely to crash etc... I'd rather do it the way a player would command, through the actuall comm console *somehow*...

I was thinking of storing each base/building, when its under attack the commander can do stuff... dunno what else tongue.gif (....I like the pictures tongue.gif)

right now I'm half working on a metamod type program with another guy on bots-united, so plugins are much easier to code. I made up my own to test and it works really well so far smile.gif...woo!
