Unhandled Exception Error Options

Hey guys, first off I did google this and a thread came up on rcbot1 with no replies so i figured i'd ask here. Not sure if it relies on RCBOT1 or 2 specific? Anyway... click the RCBOT2 installer(latest version as of today) and all games are updated, it installs the mod well and comes to the install log saying something like 'not all files were installed, see below', and you can see it didnt install for HL2DM since I dont have it installed. I checked the 'run once installed' button and after a few secs it boots the launcher/config but before it does it shows the attached screen. I click continue and it brings up the launcher but when I changed the settings and click save it says basically the same error, unhandled exception. Now, when I click dont save it will run DODS fine and I can play easily with bots. TF2 doesnt seem to work for some reason, but one thing at a time here... Anyway, anyone have any ideas as to if its a windows error, rcbot2 error or game error and how to fix?

Welcome to RCbot forums,

I think the exception error you have is a bad bot profile setting that came with rcbot2 .74. I believe its located in profile 1.ini or 2.ini? See cheeseh's post here:

It's an out of range visionticks setting, change it to 64 or less... The profiles are located in the profiles folder inside the rcbot2 folder...

The other error is nothing to worry about...( 'not all files were installed, see below')

Ok, ok.. was manually installing since the exe didnt work right since the bad values for the profiles. So what I did to fix this was manually uninstall all rcbot files, then re-download the 74r2 rcbot, then unpack and change the gen.mac and first profiles to 64 values BEFORE INSTALL. This seemed to clear up every problem I had. Install went smoothly and now the launcher works perfectly.

Just one question though... I did Sv_cheats 1, add bots, then sv_cheats 0 and still not getting stats/achievements. Is this standard or is there any way to get them? Thx for the help!

sorry for my buggy profile Cheeseh really needs to re-check his profile guide.

As for the achievements seems they won't work at all if sv_cheats 1 has been turned on
even if it's turned off when bots are already there. Hope Cheeseh explain this further.

sv_cheats, when set to 1, will flag the server as a cheat server and disable achievements, despite sv_cheats later being set to 0.

AHHH... THAT SUCKS! lol. I remember being able to set cheats on then add the valve bots then turn it off and earn achievements. Damn them for correcting this! lol. Maybe if they'd finish their damn bots and make them fill a private server without cheats like in CSS/CSGO we wouldnt have to add 3rd party bots. All in all though I do have to say the bots are awesome and dont seem to cheat like valve bots at times lol.

Thanks again for the info guys and if u guys wanna play something other than Valve games(for some reason my router wont let me connect or allow other IPs to connect to a private server directly) I have a 350 -/+ game library with plently of coop games. Hehe that's ok....that achievement thing ain't that important as long the bots are there.
Try look for sourcemod plugins that enables the achievement back.
Or use Dog's bots as it doesn't use sv_cheats 1 to load the bots but their very limited.
Just played with them and their still ok for flag maps.
