I managed to install and begin to use rcbot2 for tf2, and then proceeded to take note of some bugs and glitches I found with the bots. I have compiled a list of the bugs I have found so far here.
If you have any bugs that you would like to add to the list, feel free to reply below. Gameplay General - Bots try to take the shortest route to accomplish their goal, even if they already know that there is, say, a sentry in the way and that they will die; they refuse to take other paths. - Bots seem to not have the intention to destroy sentries after being killed by them. Spies are the exception, as they usually go for sentries in general. Scout - None noticed. Soldier - None noticed. Pyro - None noticed. Demoman - Demomen seem to behave oddly in relation to choosing to use their primary versus their melee weapon. Heavy - Default settings seem to cause heavies to be unable to hit enemies that are simply circling around them. - Heavies may attempt to fire through semi-transparent objects at their enemies. Engineer - Engineers seem not to prioritize repairing their buildings over performing other tasks, even when those buildings are under fire. - Engineers seem to remove sappers before spies, even when the spy is continuously placing sappers onto the building. - Engineers may attempt to repair/upgrade buildings that do not exist. (Usually occurs at waypoints with the "sentry" or "teleporter exit/entrance" tags.) Medic - None noticed. Sniper - Snipers may end up in spots close to the front lines when trying to snipe; mostly by choice. (Could be caused by snipers attempting to reach sniper spots which happen to be at the front lines.) - Snipers seem to be very twitchy when aiming while scoped, often missing their shots because of this. - Snipers may not switch to their secondary or melee weapons, even when the enemy approaches melee range or ranges inappropriate for sniping. Spy - None noticed. Thank you for reading! |
