so i heard through the grapevine, albeit a very tiny grapevine of.. well just max really, that today is the annual celebration of the day of the spawning of mr the cheese!
hows life been treating ya, ye olde fart? i ended up disappearing pretty damned hard core once i graduated and havent heard anything about anyone since. i hope everythings been going outstanding, thrashing out some delicious genetic algorithms for your fembots to serve your every whim in your house, which undoubtedly is a castle over there in scotland. oddly enough, i did check the site yesterday, due to pressure to start a NS2 server by the previous inhabitants of the NS1 server, but i didnt see an rcbot for NS2 and felt discouraged. i did, however, check the NS2 forums for bot info, and noticed that people still sing your praises over there! but alas, its midnight:24 here, and ive got work in the morning, so i shall bid you a very merry birthday.. if birthdays are in fact merry, and... well have a good one sir! |

Heyyo!
Happy Birthiversary Cheeseh! Man I'm still glad you're kicking around keeping the Source Engine bot dream alive... I remember back in the ol' RCbot1 days how excited I was to find out your bot supported SvenCoop that I did the whole HL1 campaign waypoint pack.. that was fun, engaging, exciting and challenging... in the end? I'm still impressed how much of the campaign the bots could handle on their own! There was only a few spots they couldn't beat which was either an elevator or a part with tricky jumps and moving platforms... but? if you tossed enough bots at it? the law of averages won out and eventually one bot would survive where many others didn't. Nowadays I'm busting my ass in the oilfields of Alberta, Canada! Working crazy jobs and making good cash and using expensive equipment.. sadly there's no RCbot to run the crane but I do have a hand with me who does a lot of the work which is almost the same since instead of waypointing? I just point at what I want him to do hahaha!!! https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hpho...702797287_n.jpg There's one of the crane trucks and on the wellhead I installed the blue parts and up (buffalo head & ball launcher) which have pressure ratings up to 104MPA (15000 PSI)... to give you an idea how much pressure that is? A tire on a half ton truck is around 274kPA.. which is about 35 PSI. So once again? happy birthiversary mang. Have a nice relaxing day, you definitely deserve it. PS... be sure to let me know when RCbot2 fully supports Synergy mod... might have get all nostaltic and waypoint HL2 Campaign. |

No wonder why he's so busy lately, baby Cheeseh is on the way soon, mega cool! Definitely the best times comes once the baby is out. Nothing beats that coz I have a 3 years old beating the hell out of me whenever he wants something LoL! All fun and joy, and expensive as well hehe but it's all worth it, as the cliche goes...which I forgot whatever it is. |

Heyyo Cheeseh! Happy birthday bud! madmax2 pointed me to this thread heh
I haven't played a PC game in probably a year meow and I don't even have a discrete GPU in my PC as I sold it a while ago. These days I've actually been really into custom ROMs and the Android Open Source Project since the bring up for the LeEco Le Max 2 for Oreo wasn't going well when a few prominent device maintainers left for newer devices, and I'm the official maintainer of it for LineageOS and actually had Pie working great in time to be part of the initial device list for LineageOS 16.0 https://lineageos.org/Changelog-22/ I hope everything has been going great for you too Cheeseh! Take care man, and I always smile when I think of GoldSrc engine and the fun we had with rcbot and waypointing the crap outta Half-Life 1 campaign and also hl2dm hehe |
