I downloaded it, but the map didn't seem sexilly waypointable, so I passed.
<-- doing custom maps now, cause for $25 I got a webserver with a redundant 2gbps pipe, unlimited space, and bandwidth per month, for ever! ::beams:: Ahem, link works fine for me though. |

ok, 2nd link worked. I'll take a crack at it. Hopefully it's free of lifts and light on ladders.
[edit] I looked at it and the map looks pretty nice with all that impressive attention to detail but it's way to damn cramped on elbow room. ( if you know what I meen) Nice looking map for the most part but very poorly thought out. I'm gonna pass on this because the difficulty level is to high for rcbots to play reliably. I just played a long game against UNWAYPOINTED bots on this map, it was great fun but the bots didn't find the cc or hive very often but they did seem to be able to get around it without waypoints which was strange.
In the first match(i spectated), aliens found the cc about 5 mins into the game, owned the marines and took out the armoury before the marines got control again and beat them back to the hive. In the end the aliens won because time was over but in the second match it was a long and tiresome fight but the marines(my team) won, probably because they had a human leader to follow. It did surprise me how they got around without waypoints though, and aswell as that they were getting better and better as the game went on, how much do the bots actually "learn"? Scary really... |
