Hi,
i think many people are running linux dedicated server. I know that making .so dlls is not compatible with all linux libraries so can you give us source of new beta for linux? I need it (and I am not alone). Already had source that is published, but it is not working for final version of NS. And there were some errors in code .. but that was not problem .. I fixed them and it compiled and now it is working fine for NS beta 5. But not for final version. Can you publish new source codes for linux, please? Or only files that were changed .. like bot.c .. or something .. or email it to me .. I will make it work under linux and if you want I will give it to you so you can publish it. And you will have new beta working under linux .. many users will be happy. Thank you, MMaster |

Thank you ... I tryed it and after a while I compiled it successfully, but it is not working .. metamod cannot load it .. path is correct .. but it writes badf .. and when I compile it like standalone dll then it print this:
Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from ./ns/../rcbot/dlls/rcbot_i386.so! FATAL ERROR (shutting down): Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from ./ns/../rcbot/dlls/rcbot_i386.so! and dll is called rcbot_i486.so .. it's strange Don't you know what is wrong?? Or don't you know how to enable debug mode in metamod? .. I will try to repair it .. if I will know where is error .. when I will repair it I will upload working linux version to this forum .. I think it will be usefull. Thank you, MMaster |

what that means is that either:
The file is missing/in the wrong fodler for e.g. Or exported functions aren't exported correctly, Note you will have to make your own makefile because the makefile with the source is out of date, try this: Attached File(s) makefile_linux_mm ( 880bytes ) Number of downloads: 23 |

Ok .. I tryed to change makefile but it was not working .. now I know why I did not included one file .. now it is working well .. I made some code changes to make it run under linux, but nothing that changes functionality of bot.
I'm sending you working (compilable) linux version by mail, so you can upload it as linux version. MMaster |
