Everyones always spootin' about noone being able to find the waypoints for whichever map, so all of us waypoint moderators, just zip up your RCWs for the standard maps, and upload em in this thread
This zip includes... co_angst co_core co_daimos co_faceoff co_kestrel co_pulse co_rebirth co_teabag (just cause popsicle is the man) co_ulysses ns_agora ns_ayumi ns_bast ns_caged ns_eclipse ns_hera ns_lost (even though I haven't supported the map in months) ns_metal ns_mineshaft ns_nancy ns_nothing ns_origin ns_tanith ns_veil All of these I've either done myself, or heavily modified someone elses, and if someone recognizes one of their waypoints let me know so I can write a little note in a text file somewhere Attached File(s) waypoints.zip ( 89.43k ) Number of downloads: 805 |

Out of those you've listed, I know I've either modified or made...
ns_bast ns_caged ns_eclipse ns_nancy ns_nothing ns_veil ns_tanith More than likely just modified, as I'm lazy. but I'll mark all those maps down! ns_origin I modified to all crap, but I still think I'm gonna take it out of the rotation, cause the bots get stuck on the elevators and piss me off to no damn end. |

Ok, I finaly got ns_veil to a point where rcbots should no longer get stuck at Lift 5 East ( the lift just outside of pipeline hive ) and also, should no longer appear lost at the res node in Cargo Transfer South hive. I also tried adding some wall stick waypoints to get the bots into the vents and they seem to be taking them.
Here is my updated ns_veil waypoint. Attached File(s) ns_veil.rcw ( 7.52k ) Number of downloads: 56 |

Well, I would have to say that the less obsticales the maps have i.e: ladders, lifts and doors, the better the bots will perform.
But I would think ns_veil is one of the better maps for rcbot. |

I've played in all "official" NS Maps with RCBots, and, to me, Ns_Eclipse has always been the best one to test the bots in. It's a very simple and straightforward map, but it's good for combat situations, and testing the bots about aim, team work, etc. And it's a classic map, everyone likes it, or almost everyone
I think that map has been around since the very first public version of Natural-Selection. |
