First, NOsteam is NOT supported by the developers/programers, but it might work depending on what you have? The latest metamod versions (1.0) did NOT work with the dods version I have (Feb. 2013). But some NON-metamod versions did work... See these posts...

This post just before your post has guides for NON-metamod nosteam install...

http://rcbot.bots-united.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1983

My NON-metamod guide is here...

http://rcbot.bots-united.com/forums/index....ost&p=13764

genmacs rcbot NON-metamod files are provided too...

http://rcbot.bots-united.com/forums/index....ost&p=13764

Keep in mind, if your dods is Sep 2015 or newer then it WON't work with any non-metamod rcbot versions (0.96 or older).

To run the latest metamod rcbots (0.98 or newer) you probably need a dods/tf2 version dated Sep 2015 or newer. But I can't confirm this will work?

If your dods/tf2 is older than Sep 2015, then you probably have to use the NON-metamod (native) versions of rcbot2.

Also, the Launcher won't work with NOsteam, you must set the bots up manually and use a shortcut to launch, see my guide... And the installer did not work for me, but that could of been a problem with my old XP install. But, Expect to do manual install too...

For dedi, install should be about the same as steam dedi installs, just folders names will be different. You should be able to use the steam guides for that...

========================
Please, no more new topics on Nosteam installs, Thankyou....

Yeah, those links are for listen server/client install on windows. But there is still useful info there...

Sorry, I really can't write a guide for something I have not done myself, like rcbot2 dedi server on source engine (dods). Also, I have no linux experience/knowledge.

There is NO specific NOsteam version, I have no idea what would work for your NOsteam dods. I did give suggestions in my previous posts & links how you might narrow down what rcbot2 builds to try.

All I can do is suggest you look at these links for dedi & linux, for steam. Then adapt it to nosteam, most of it should be the same, things like folder names could be different, but the structure is the same. Some Offsets may be different.

For older dods versions, non-metamod rcbot2, nonnie has a very good linux guide here:

http://rcbot.bots-united.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1913

There is more linux info & non-metamod rcbot2 builds in this topic here:

http://rcbot.bots-united.com/forums/index....1254&st=120

If your dods is very new (one or two months), you can try nightcores latest metamod linux builds & instructions here:

http://rcbot.bots-united.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1967

------------------

Up until nighcore's linux builds, the non-metamod linux builds have always lagged behind the windows builds and usually have some bugs not in the windows builds. Just something to be aware of.

I hope you are not renting this server, I'd say you got ripped off if you are? Doing a linux dedi server with rcbot2 is hard enough, doing it on nosteam could be a big headache...?

I think you would be better off using steam, if you are using linux? So you could use the latest rcbot2 linux builds...

Good luck...
