@TesterYYY....I was working at it but couldn't complete the wpt as bots during 0.7 couldn't plant some of the bombs but thankfully Cheeseh tested the map, tweaked the bots and completed the wpts so wpts for dod_strand included already on 0.71 release hehe check it out it's the first map I tested and oh so happy the bots completed every each objective successfully.

There are still some more beach maps I might try to wpt soon.

I think I know most of the maps already as wpted initially on dog's bots
so will wpt those first. The other ones, will see hehe.

Hope you try some of the maps wpted already even you don't know some of them their really good and some not too big or too hard to learn. just follow the bots every now and then and you'll easily learn the maps. :-)

Ok I've wpted the 2 smallest maps.
The rest are quite big so will just start with dod_anvil and so on.
Will just post them one at a time for each wpts done so the quality of the
wpts is always good, hehe.

yeah I'll wpt them when I'm in a good mood hehe so the quality is as good as I can make them but so far I wpted 3 more of the bigger maps

I am interested, what waypointers do now? All my maps are waypointed, thank you, guys! I think, to do list of maps, who need to waypoint. What you think about this idea?

Hey Emotional,

I think what you are asking for, is for someone to create a list of good maps, for which there are no waypoints? A list waypointers can pick a map from, to waypoint. I think thats okay, if someone wants to create such a list? Or, we can just continue to use requests. I'm fine either way. Any other waypointer opinions?

As for what I will do? Well, i'd like to play more of the maps genmac waypointed, I've only tried about 5 of them so far, heh heh...

Some of the stock map wpts are being over analyze as of now so atleast the wpts for them can be as good and they can ever be. Will do more improvements on hl2dm stock wpts soon as well some few custom maps for it.

I've gone crazy so I just fully re-wpt dod_anzio to fully optimize the wpts and make the sniper/mg's tactically correct and working the way I know how even though Cheeseh wpts for it is already good. I love this map and I like my wpts fully optimized with nothing more or less here and there and the result made the bots spread out more and do combat much more realistically. I only overlap paths and stuff if I really really need to or it's simply a wide open area. I often try to mimic what I would naturally go to, throw grenades at, and places where it looks tactically right for camping as well with a little bit of spawn raping LoL!

Dod_donner has been improve a lot as well and of course tnx to Madmax2 for making dod_flash much much better now.

I'm also compressing the gameplay on dod_strand and dod_peleliu for those who just wanna duke it out on the beach area and a little beyond, I really love this maps so why not make a fun/fast paced tdm combat version of them hehe!

I'll probably wpt one more custom map I really like, like that foggy one, but if you find any map that's really good just post by a request here and anyone interested to wpt it just announced it so. I would probably skip on request and let madmax and others do some wpting hehe. I have some other wpting project I'd like to venture in not related to any source game hehe but a bot for this very popular fps series lol!

hehe tnc u! if you found any flaws on them plz do point it out I'm sure there's something I've missed.

As for you well, there are still sooo many dods custom maps out there I'm sure you'll find one or more you'll wpt it in a heart beat hehe. I sometimes just check out servers with custom maps that get's played a lot and check some out and if I like it I will wpt it. But sometimes they just play this simple orange maps all the time LoL!

Hey buddy, It sounds like you have been on another waypoint rampage ... I'm looking forward to trying the new stock wpts. Thanks for the nod on flash, I have another update in the works for it too, ha ha, I'm still tweaking it...

So what is this mysterious fps game that threaten's to steal you away from us ? We still need you here to help improve rcbot2, so I hope you will stay involved here as well... It just would not be the same without you...

@max...hehe it's just cod4 and seems no one has bothered make a pezbot wpt for this map I really love coming from Black Ops called Nuketown which I think is better played on cod4 coz it's bot can do much more like that domination mode but still hl1/2 mod bots and rcbot1/2 are way more advance.
So it's just a fling nothing serious LoL!

For now any wpt request I past on to you guys hehe.

I might try source mapping soon so I can edit dod_strand to the max...hahaha!!!

whew that's a handful hehe!

Dod_cherbourg is huge...hate the way the allies spawns one of the reason I lost interest to this map and it's just huge but it looks really nice.

Not on the list but dod_campazzo_final is good will wpt this soon. The map feels cold and very foggy hehe.

I don't know. I play only pirate version DoD with sturmbots and it was a long time ago. But, I think, we can see, which maps for DoD have been remaked.

yes, when create list I have been guided 3 indicators:
-beauty of map
-interest gameplay
-prominence
and unfortunately, more beaty maps were not included in the list, because maps was too much. But if all maplist will be waypointed, I can again thoroughly look maps on gamebanana)

Sorry I haven't said anything sooner, but I did look at all the maps on your list (online/gamebanana etc)... I also have downloaded several of them (dialup), but haven't picked one out yet to waypoint. I've been stuck on some difficult svencoop waypointing project for some time now, but I'm very close to finishing that up... So I should be able to start one of the maps on your list in the next week sometime...

Okay, I'm claiming dod_azure to waypoint. I started building the main pathways today. I'll be working on this while I finalize the svencoop rcw's for release, which I haven't been able to work on for several days...

I downloaded & looked at several maps on the list. But the dod_daybreak map seems to be broken now? I really wanted to get a look at that one too... It crashes with a "bad surface extents on texture mcjewels/blendcobblegrasstwilight" error ... Think I got it from gamebanana, but not sure?

I tried reload maps from other sources - failed. I think, it is related to regular DoD:S updates, maybe.. I want to find first version of map, but too failed. I strucked dod_daybreak from list, this is the only way out

Thanks for checking that out... yeah it's to bad dod_daybreak is broken, it sure had good feedback and looked very nice in the images...

Last nite I imported the dod_flash rcw into dod_flasher_rc1, and it looks like a good fit. So I may do that after I get dod_azure done... and I plan to update dod_sora_b3 also... . Today I'm finalizing my svencoop crystal rcw's for release, but should have some time on this too...

Okay, since i've got most of the main pathways done, guess i'm claiming dod_vigilance for waypointing. Still have capture areas & defenses to add. All the flags are elevated and I need to check it for blind windows too, so hope there won't be problems?

I looked at several other maps too, all were good (dod_churchyard, dod_cherbourg, dod_husky, dod_kaust). And dod_tunisia has timed bomb plants. How do we waypoint maps like that with such little time to place the waypoints? Is there a way to disable the timers, or do we just have to be really fast ? heh heh...

I'm also converting the flash rcw to dod_flasher_rc1, bots are capping all the flags now, but still a lot to do, it's a bit messy right now..

I started waypointing dod_churchyard... Have bots capping all the flags. There is a ton of possibilities for cover & defend locations on the map. Hope I can do it faster than the last rcw (dod_vigilance)... Done

It's been a while, I've not had much time for games lately. I would like to make a few more waypoints, but probably won't have time until late in the year (like November or December?)? Any maps a priority, maybe pick 3 prefered maps to waypoint?

I have a few games in my steam inventory I haven't played yet, or even installed (some are single player). So I have been working on getting that done, because i'm still on winXP. I'm not sure if steam will continue to work on XP offline mode after the first of the year or not?

Anyways, thanks for the kind words, and stay well... Wish I knew what happened to genmac (ironcore?)? I haven't tried searching on steam for him, though? Any idea?

Hmm, maybe first make dod_donnash & dod_switchback?
Dod_donnash - map, that is a mix of dod_donner & dod_flash. Because of it, I think, you can make waypoint fast.
Dod_switchback - map, that is a good map that is a remake map for original DoD.
The remaining maps can wait

WinXP? Seriously? In my Siberia, even brown bears already use at least W7 Although I know a couple of old programmers, they have computers from the early 00's with Windows 98 and they test some programs on them.
I think no, steam will not continue their work in 2019 with WinXP. But why it's so critical for you?

Yeah, seems genmac has gone dark on the internet , hope he is well...

I also have a couple win98 PC's I still use, and I still have my old Commodore computers too, haha...

For steam games I own, I still have not played HL2:EP1 and HL2:EP2. Thats the top 2 games I wish to play before end of year, the rest are bundle games, or won't run good on my current PC anyways, such as Natural Selection 2, Red Orchestra 2 games, and Sniper Elite games...

I have both maps, expect at least a month before I could start a wpt.

HL2:EP1&2 are wonderful games, hehe. Didn't play in NS2, but in RO2 I got level 50 on every weapon (including anti-tank rifles) and again returned to Dod:S. In Sniper Elite series like only the SE (2005), other SE don't like.
I'm still player in DoD:S, Black Ops 1 with bots (thanks bgamer client ), Fistful of Frags, Double Action: Boogaloo, Lambda Wars, The Specialist, HL2DM, Ravenfield (great bots game, yeah) and popular singleplayer FPS, besides Wolfenstein 2 because it requires 2 GB of video memory and on my GT645m I have only 1 GB

Well, I'm waiting, I hope you'll succeed.

I always wanted an amiga 500 but never bought one. My first computer was a Commodore PET 2001, the one with the cassette tape and funky keyboard with 9 inch B&W CRT screen, I thought it was cool, and it was only $795.00 + tax, when I bought it in 1977 (I still have it!). It was either that or a $1500 (or $2000) Apple II, can't remember exactly? My favorite Commodore had to be the C64, tons of games and many 3rd party products for it... The Amiga 500 was similar, in that way, to the C64, but more powerful... That PET came with a whopping 8 kilobytes RAM...



Commodores - Nostalgia, Like my first car .. Win98 - have thousands of documents & many old games stored, still useful...

Those are some good games. Just tried to install mod version of Fistful of Frags v3.8c, but it won't launch. Are you using the moddb version or steamstore version of FoF? I haven't tried the 3.9a patch yet.

Steamstore version. Works perfectly.

3.9a is released 1/07/2013, it's too outdated. I recommend using the steam store version.
