I'll take a swing at it, if the map doesn't suck, and the bots get through it all sexifully, I'll put it into my server rotation, and upload the waypoint file
Screen shots look rather sexy lol |

68.203.134.237:27015 ...but I'm connected to a RoadRunner DHCP server... which means eventually it WILL change, but I've had it for like 5 months and it hasn't changed yet...
But, I use a dynamic DNS service, so to be safe the IP is.. www.the-coming.com:27015 and if you wanna know the little extraneous info... http://www.the-coming.com/stats/server.php |

Alright, heres my waypoint... for some reason theyd get stuck on random waypoints, and I had to waypoint the living crap out of a few areas to get them to get through it... but on the upside they dont move in jerky 90 degree angles, and move more fluidly like a human
I'm fairly certain it works completely, they had a few problems with the ladders, but I saw them get up em about 60% of the time... Over all, I like the map, and it's in my map rotation now for both normal days, and combat days! More than likely I'll keep working the waypoints, trying to get the count down, and make it work better faster... but heres what I came up with! ...dont laugh Attached File(s) co_teabag.rcw ( 4.79k ) Number of downloads: 42 |

Lemme know if you like my server, and I'll hook you up with admin and whatnot... after all, you made a map that not only impressed the hell out of me, I deemed it badassed enough to host at map #3 in the rotation
How long did it take you to make anyhow? |

lol, u dont hav to give me admin rights (alltho i wont say no to it either )...
well the map itself, about a week and a half, but a lot of things came from work id done previously and so it needed assembling, polishing and whatnot to suit combat. i could almost make another combat map with all the stuff i hav left over still but it wouldnt be as good. Your servers good but with the alien bots, hav u tried removing the parasite attack, cos all too often they stop about 10 feet in front of u parasiting like madmen and as a result makes the skulks soooo easy to kill |

I tried to hone their parasiting attack to shoot only if they're quite a ways away, I spose I oughta get rid of it, cause they'll find a waypoint they wanna go to and sit there and spit... or make the distance really big that they shoot from so they only spit when youre a mile away or something...

Still Working on a RcBot version, but will no way be as good as Skitchies at the mo', although there does seem to be a couple of 'stray' waypoints in mid-air by the ladders - but hey its good!
By the way Meat_Popsicle, this map is the dogs-dangly-bits, don't you dare make that your last map like you posted, you have got the Knack - I am seriously impressed! Ok, I've put together this Whichbot version for you to use... Attached File(s) co_TeaBag.wpt ( 7.33k ) Number of downloads: 25 |

I revised and added and whatnoted some waypoints, I've watched the aliens kill the com chair, and the marines kill the hive, so this should work...
and I don't know what stray waypoints are in mid-air on mine, I took a bunch of sleeping pills and im a bit loopy at the moment, but if theres stray waypoints in the air directly attached to a ladder-up pathway, its so the bot will continue to go up and not get hung up on the very top of the ladders... You may be talking about the pathways that lead down past a ladder.. or something, I don't put pathways down ladders, if a bot wants to go down, and another bot wants to go up, theyll stay there in the middle of the ladder until theyre killed, so I usually put a pathway to where they can fall around it and not get hurt too much... Anyhow, I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore, so heres the revised one.. Attached File(s) co_teabag.rcw ( 4.95k ) Number of downloads: 29 |

i may finish off saving private barney, but as u see from the first 2 acts i stick to the half-life standard textures and concentrate on the gameplay more. |

im releasing the second (and hopefully) final version of the teabag this afternoon, its compiling now so i just thought id tel u bout it to kill some time...
* redone the rounded coridors so it should be very easy for rcbots, fades and jetpackers to get around now. * lots of lighting improvements, everythings a bit brighter now (except 'the well' which i restored to its mysterious old self and the hitchhiker ive changed the lighting quite a bit). * got a beautiful new sky texture, no more of that SUYF crap sprayed across the sky * added an extra special secret room (probably added another 100k to the bsp but so worth it ) * removed cover round comm chair to make it easier for rines to defend * ledge on upper vent outside hive to give easier access for resting jetpackers * texture tweakages everywhere, most arent noticeable though * various entity optimizations * finally worked out how to use scrolling textures (just thought id add that ) * removed 1 of the vents above marine spawn (due to a weird clipping exploit where u culd get into the hull, but no one used it anyway) nyar, cant think of anythin else right now, im off for breakfast edit: o yeh, if anyones got any suggestions, nows the time? |

As soon as I can get my server back up..
(Power guy has to come shut off the power, cause that explosion that knocked out my power yesterday was apparantly a squirrel bridging connections on the incoming power transformer box, and subsequently blew itself up and got stuck, fried, on the transformer. Luckilly for me, its in my back yard and i was the only one without power... pfft ) I'll completely re-waypoint teabag, I want to get the waypoint count down... for all I know, the bots were freaking out cause of that task thing or something, and would get stuck on the waypoints... I'll see what I can do to get them through the map easier, though, the aliens seemed to have no trouble coming to the marine base |
