New Rcbot2 waypoints by Emotional & madmax2, for the map dod_kaust ... (3-25-14)
This is a very good map and can handle 8vs8 even though it is small to medium sized. It's a nice semi destroyed town with lots of ambush and cover places... Very good action with 7vs7 or 8vs8.

Release2 info:
I've included 2 versions of the waypoint this time. The first release is now the alternate waypoint (dod_kaust_alt.rcw) and is the "mg lite" version. The default waypoint (dod_kaust.rcw) is the "mg full" version. There is very little difference, they are the exact same size, but they will play very different!

With the "mg lite" or sniper version of the rcw watch out for the dueling mg's if you have 2 per team smile.gif ... There are more sniper than mg positions, mg's will concentrate fire on the center flag area, so it's good for 1 or 2 mg's per team...

With the default or "mg full" rcw, mg's will cover more areas of the map, so I recommend at least 2 mg's per team to keep the mg action high in the center. There are 6 more mg positions with this rcw, so mg action is spread across the map.

----------------------------------------
Release2 Changes (Both rcw's):
----------------------------------------
Allies were hanging up in a couple places in thier spawn area, so i moved a couple wpts there for smoother movement. I also found an allied assault bot stuck in a corner inside a building on the ground floor. I'm sure it fell through a hole in the floor from above & got lost. I added a wpt fix for that, and duplicated it on the axis side of map too.

Then I added the 6 mg positions for the default rcw, and thats all the changes. I tried doing something for the monument capture area, but didn't like the results, so no changes there for now...

----------------------------------------
Notes: The rcws were edited with RCbot2 .76, so they are compatable with .79 as well as some older versions of RCbot2...

There is no team scoreing on this map, only wins.

There are 4 blind windows for bots, over the armored car...

----------------------------------------
Bots can capture all 5 flags... bots do go everywhere, but do have thier prefered routes...

Has sniper, mg, & defend wpts. also a few sprint wpts...

Most capture points are detected captures, all are with proper areas.

Most all windows have wpts. bots occasionally go to, but won't stay at the 4 blind windows...

Bots do briefly bump or catch on some things still, but there shouldn't be anything too bad, i've fixed most all of that. And I continue to tweak/fix things as I find them. There should be no permanent stuck bots, or even bad hangs...

Yeah, it did seem that way at times... Here are a couple more rcw's to try ^Release2^. The alternate is like the first release, axis seem stronger with balanced teams (I did fix a couple things that were hurting the allies). I still like it better with smaller teams, 6vs6 or 7vs7. The new default rcw spreads the mg's out more, so I recommend 2 mg's per team minimum for that, or 8vs8. The only difference between the 2 are the added mg tags, but it plays very different. It seems allies are stonger most of the time with the default rcw, but not always. But I have not tested it on the latest .79 release, so the balance may be different? dod_flash seemed very balanced in .79, with or without squads, but more with squads...

I was going to do more to the rcw, but just don't have the time right now. I did try a number of things, such as a detected capture at the monument, bots did cap it faster and with fewer bots, but they wanted to climb up the side of it cause it is up near the flag on top. It seemed to help the axis more than the allies. It's good for now, perhaps later i'll do more...

Hope you like em... wink.gif
