I don't see anybody talking about this so I don't know if it's happening to anyone else, but TF2 randomly crashes with rcbot 2.
I'm running a LAN on two computers. It happens no matter which computer starts the game. One computer is AMD and the other is Intel Core Duo and both use different audio hardware so I don't think it's a hardware problem. It seems random and happens even if either computer doesn't have any real computers playing/connected. Sometimes it happens within a minute and sometimes we might play fro a half an hour. It locks up HL2.exe with waht I'd say is an infinite loop. Sometimes if we are lucky we can get the task manager up and kill it but a lot of times we have to reboot. And ideas? Thanks and love the bots, been using rcbot on Rocket Crowbar Svencoop and Death Match Classic for awhile. Thanks again. |

I have a LAN between two Intel computers and have never had TF2 crash randomly. Do you have any extra plugins or mods that could conflict with it? |

I'm going to try an internet game and see if I have any problems without running RCBot just in case something has come up recently. Edit: Ok the above was a dumb idea...of course it's not going to crash if I'm not acting as the server. |

Why this is here;
I haven't tried playing over LAN yet, but can you use the same steam account for multiplayer RCBot2? |

If it crashes with no bots connected its not the the bots unless you have the plugin loaded and if so try without it

No plug-ins except rc bot.
When you say when no bots are connected do you mean with out the rcbot plug-in loaded at all or with the plug-in loaded but just no bots added? It doesn't crash when we just play the two of us on LAN. But we didn't load the rcbot plug-in. |

Does it crash with the RCbot plugin installed but no bots?

Does it crash with the RCbot plugin installed but no bots? No. It appears that if we set the play number to less than about 14 to 16 or so, it doesn't crash. Well, at least it runs long enough before we quit. Also, it always crashes if a real player tries to be an engineer. |

I'm having the same problem in SRCDS - regardless of the number of bots (well, there needs to be at least one obviously), it seems that two or more humans = crash, whereas one human is perfectly fine. Crashes become more common as more human events are fired (or so it seems).
The only difference is that SRCDS silently crashes, rather than entering an infinite loop. |
