NS_Rust Ok, i re-waypointed this map Joe, because i noticed that the waypoints you supplied had been done with 'pathwaypoint' "enabled" so there were too many paths being made. Also there is a lift in this map that has been made in a bot un-friendly way because the lift button at the bottom is in the actual lift shaft (squash) i put in a basic loop but i can't be sure that it will have any success See below for waypoints. If you are using the latest beta dll, try adding "check for lift" waypoints at the top and bottom of the lifts where they both connect to each other through the lift area.

I am using your latest beta.dll and i can't find the "check for lift" option in the waypoints menu, only the lift button and wait for lift options. |

Ok i downloaded the beta.dll again and it seems to be working fine, the waypoint menu is all there so i used the check for lift waypoint like you suggested although i don't know if it works as i havent tested the lift yet (waypoint was a standard blue too so ?).
I finished waypointing the vents ( i think i got 245625626 of them) so it is ready to rock n roll. Attached File(s) ns_rust.rcw ( 11.3k ) Number of downloads: 24 |

I rarely use "pathwaypoint enable". (some paths are not bidirectional).
I know i've done too many waypoints in this map, but it's works very well (for marines with a human commander). |

I always use pathwaypoint enable and just remove paths I don't want. I've also noticed too many waypointers are making really long stretches of areas just have one waypoint at the start and on at the end with a huge distance between them and a path between them... that's not how to waypoint right! You need waypoints in between... what If a bot got lost in the middle?

The lift in ns_rust is evil...
The bots don't want to push the buttons of this lift. (Problem with the map ?) |

I don't like to use pathwaypoint enable because it causes a clusterf*ck of pathways in small rooms and intersections that I don't want. I find it easyer just to add the pathways I do want as I go. I have also seen other waypointers leave hugh distances between some waypoints. I guess they do that to cut some work time down but it does hurt the bots performance in the long run. Here is a simple rule to remember, when your waypointing, while your walking away from the last wpt, if you see it dissapear then your to far away. If you can't see the next waypoint then niether can a bot. |

Whichbot Waypoint:
I Have posted it at www.whichbot.com in the patches section if anyone needs it? I've done another version of |2usty's waypoint for RcBot, fixed ladders and some other stuff. Will upload when possible... |
