Sorry, I'm sure there must've been a dozen threads like this already, but I can't find ANY documentation or help on how to install rcbot2 for tf2. At least, nothing I understand.
I downloaded RCBot2_051_Beta.zip to C:/downloads I extracted it to c:/downloads/RCBot2_051_Beta WHERE do I put the files inside? "c:/program files/steam/steamapps/John Doe/team fortress 2"? "c:/program files/steam/steamapps/John Doe/team fortress 2/tf"? What does each part do? Do I need HPB_Bot2.dll anywhere? Does everything go in the same place? Just to clarify, inside c:/downloads/RCBot2_051_Beta is

Well in the readme I put instructions, dont know if u understand them but it should explain what youre looking for,
QUOTE TO INSTALL please... -------------------- 1. put the DLL file into steam/steamapps/<email>/Team fortress 2/bin 2. put the "rcbot2" folder (inside the zip) into steam/steamapps/<email> so that you now have a folder called ...steam/steamapps/<email>/rcbot2/... If you are using a dedicated server, use the generated bot_mods.ini file in the rcbot2/config folder to setup the location of the MOD. E.g. TO INSTALL Waypoints... ----------------------- 1. Put the .rcw (and .rcs) file into rcbot2/waypoints/team fortress 2/tf/ 2. If you are using dedicated server please first of all run the bot and it will create a folder inside the waypoints folder related to your game, find it and put the waypoints in it. 1. put the DLL file into steam/steamapps/<email>/Team fortress 2/bin 2. put the "rcbot2" folder (inside the zip) into steam/steamapps/<email> so that you now have a folder called ...steam/steamapps/<email>/rcbot2/... |

Something must be wrong, for I have the folder and the .dll in the correct place according to the readme and your post, but whenever I try to load RCbots in TF2, I get:
Unable to load plugin "../bin/HPB_Bot2" I have the RCbot folder in: c:\program files\steam\steamapps\***@***.net\ I have the DLL in: c:\program files\steam\steamapps\***@***.net\Team Fortress 2\bin |

Do I need scriptingnotesfiles or scriptingnotes.htm? Where'd you get this info from? Scripting notes are for waypointers , not really for everyone's eyes. The info is from the readme.txt ![]() |
