As title I have been using RCbot for ages on the old version of HL2DM Source Dedicated Server...
NOW Steam have made some serious upgrades, and broke *everything*. I ended up reinstalling a totally new version (kept my old version for maps and reference). Mani admin updated ok, eventscripts ok, and the server runs.... BUT when I put RCbot2 (HPB_Bot2) into the right places (I hope, the orangebox/bin) the server won't start (well it starts, gets to the 'start dedicated server' screen and then displays the steam starting logo and then crashes... and writes some crash dump files... Please note, this is a source dedicated server HL2DM, not STEAM - so where am I going wrong please? At the moment I have disabled the HPB_bot2.vdf file by calling it .tmp and the server runs (but without bots obviously!) Suggestions *please*?? Thanks all. OH I have tried the -insecure switch and no change... FURTHER if I type 'plugin_load HPB_BOT2' the game crashes also !! |

try using the RCBot2 for TF2 with HL2DM now, because HL2DM now uses orangebox , RCBot2 for TF2 is for orange box . I'm guessing it will still work for it

I'm guessing it will still work for it hmm ok that doesnt work cos it still uses the tf2 add bot method,, what'll i'll do, i'll update the hl2dm side of the bot on the orange box version of rcbot2, as they also need weapons to be fixed, maybe will finish in a few days |
