some people have said they dont work in won and only in steam, are you using metamod or not metamod? I think I might just have to make another dll file so tell me what u are using (win32/linux and metamod/non metamod) I can attach a slightly different dll file.

That would be great, thank you Cheeseh. I prefer to use the metamod version, if it's possible. And my LAN/WON-server is right now only running in win32 environment.
I hope this want cause you to much inconvenience.

To bad Steam have so bad LAN support, that's mainly why i still use WON.

hmm hold on, it won't make any change If I sent you this different dll file because you are using metamod...

can I ask what maps you are running? Are there waypoint files for the maps your running (as the bots arent moving..?) they should be in the rcbot/waypoints/bg folder. Also make sure the rcbot folder is in the right place so it can find them smile.gif

Sorry I can't help, if you are using metamod, because that should do all the engine stuff for the bot regardless of steam/won.

Cheeseh, i'm sorry, but i have not actually tried them yet in BG, i'm on rather slow connection now and i must download BG again to try them (i have not played that mod for some time). I was just asking if they would work with BG in WON, because if they didn't, there where really no point for me to download BG again, because i just want to play with your bots on LAN.

I just assumed that if they don't work without metamod, then they will not with it, sorry for that.

Metamod is however not so important for me, so if you want, i could try your new dll. I will probably download the Battlegrounds tomorrow.

alright, well try the normal rcbot dll first if that doesn't work right then try this one for WON only... (win32 standalone dll)

I tried the bot for metamod and stand alone on WON. But the bots dont seem to move even with waypoints. I'll try this new dll and see if it'll fix the problem.

EDIT: err, the file is corrupt, cheeseh.

Did a quick test today, and both the default 1.3 and the new dll are loaded and working, i can add bots, but the problem that occurred for others happend for me too. Bots arent moving, they simply stand still at respawn and jumping. The rcbot folder is in the correct place and all maps i tested had waypoints.

BigBadWoLf, the file was fine for me, maybe if you try to download it once more it will work. Just remember to empty the temporary internet folder if you are using Internet Explorer, because sometime you'll end up with the exact same file if you don't.
But maybe you already tried that. smile.gif
(sorry for my bad english)

File is fine now, but the problem still exists. They load fine but won't move out of their p-lace like soda had said.
