Well, someone at Valve must be a Cheeseh fan. Looks like they're reading this board. The new Steam update included the following.

QUOTE
* Added new command line option "-dll"; Syntax is -dll [game_dll_to_load]

To get RCBots to work with Steam DMC.

As always put your rcbot directory under the mod directory as such.

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\fred@fred.com\deathmatch classic\rcbot

Start Steam
Open Games List
Right Click DMC
Click ?Create Desktop Shortcut?
Right Click the new shortcut on your desktop
Hit ?Properties?
Click the ?Shortcut? tab
In the Target Box you should have something like the following.
"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 40
At the end of that add ?-dll ../rcbot/dlls/rcbot.dll?
So that it looks like
"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 40 -dll ../rcbot/dlls/rcbot.dll
Hit OK

And your done. Now go kick some bot azz!
Remember in order to play the bots you'll have to use the Icon on your desktop. You can adjust the startup within the game menu. But I like the idea of have a seperate desktop for starting a bot game.
