Your RCbot does not seem to try onos at all. I'm playing NS 2.1, btw. Is the NS 2.1 onos fully supported? Or is it because they all change to fade once they reach 50 res? It's the biggest annoyance in an otherwise fine bot AI.
Couple of other small issues: 1) Bots are "lethargic". Esp fades, they just love to stand still and shoot acid rockets at me, and when they run out of juice they still insist on standing there putting out one shot every two seconds. Can you make them smart enough to go away and replenish energy, then come back and fight again? The RCbot skulks are also noticeably easier to kill than whichbots. I think the big difference is that the RCbots move in much more predictable ways, whereas whichbots (skulks esp.) are just all over the place. 2) Gorges for some odd reason seem to be leading attacks. Whenever a bunch of aliens visit my turret farm, the gorge is always in front. Why? 3) Aliens do check out attacks on their structures, but after a while I noticed that and started setting up traps for the arriving "rescue party". The RCbot aliens don't seem to recognize mines. ![]() 4) Late game when the alien bot team has been thrashed until they have nothing but their hive bases (usually three of them), they seem to adopt a "demoralized" mindset and start camping at their hives, not even leaving to attack res nodes. Is this intentional? 5) Oh, and the fades don't seem to use blink. Never seen them do it, but the whichbots I use do it all the time. Once I see a blinking fade, I know it is a whichbot. If it is a acid rocketeer, then I know it's one of yours. ![]() |

yeah they dont use blink or recognize mines at all yet
![]() if you want some bots to go ones, change the onos_percent in their botprofiles (botprofiles folder in 1..25 .ini or whatever ones you want) and also put lerk_percent to 0 or whatever so they dont go lerk the bots will go lerk more often than fade and onos because the amount of resources is less. The bots mainly go onos if they spawn with about 100 res. |

How bout the standing fades that shoot acid rockets? The marine RCbots, on the other hand, run around while shooting! Why doesn't the fade do that so that it is harder to kill?
(PS: Actually, I'd rather the marines stand still and shoot; makes comming and medspam much easier!) |

I dunno, its up to the bot, If it wants to move it'll move, there is no code that tells fades to stop when firing acid rockets.
