By an assload on mine, HLDS, once all the bots are in, uses around 125-130mb of ram, when i went and looked at the task manager while it was crashing, it was over 250mb of ram bein used. Granted, it has a gig of onboard memory now, but still, quite a lot bein used I should say biggrin.gif

What kind of processor do you have in your server Cheeseh? I have a few spares... wink.gif

250mb of ram?? That's over 250,000k. Are you sure your reading that thing right?

Hmm, now that is something I have never bothered to look at before...

Just checked mine and its using 106Mb and climbing at the rate of 4k a second. now could this be the real reason Half life crashes? I noticed that it seems to be around 9hrs on my 1Gb machine before a crash and according to HLSW (On another machine) its been up for 5hrs. 4kb sounds like a memory block in size, I wonder what has the memory leak. Anyone else see-ing this?

Hehe, yeah I know, its a lot. right now, it's taking up... a meager 141mb, but the boys and most highly unlikely girls are playing the normal way, not being bored and deciding to turret farm a whole map. Thats with 8 bots and 5 people.

Server's been up for around 12 hrs 30 minutes. Let's see how long it takes to crash!!

Looks to be about 15 hours 20 minutes that it was up, and crashed with the ram usage somewhere around 135mb, doesn't look like theres a leak, or if there is, it doesn't occur over time, and may be on a per-map basis. But the crash occured on my server like 15 minutes into a map...

I guess Cheeseh, if you up load the new code, I'll compile it and run it, and see if I can't get another line of code for you thats jamming up the works. dry.gif

Hehe, alrighty, I'm formatting my old 120gb drive now, so I can swap out the 20 and 60 gb drives in my server, once I get them all formatted, I'll put the HL server back on there, and get it up and running, along with visual studio, with the code on the files page compiled, and if it crashes, I'll give you the line that's crapping out.

You know, it would suck if all of these crashings were due to the 20gb drive that is all but dead.. ph34r.gif
