those darn &!@$%!&!@ bots!, and their filthy mouths! Options

Hey folks.

I was just wondering, is there a way to edit what it is that the bots have learned vocabulary-wise?

Evidently some trouble-makers hopped on my server and taught the bots how to swear like irritated sailors. I know that you can filter the things that they respond to, but is there a way to edit what's already in their brains?

Unless I can edit them, I'm going to just delete all the .brn files and start over.

you should have put offensive words into the .ban files before the learned them Unfortunately you can't remove certain things from the bots hal brani without mucking up stuff. I guess if you want to keep their hal brains decent:

- start over with by deleteing all .brn files.
- Make a big training file (put lots of stuff into the common_hal.trn like sentences that aren't too long that have releveance to the game or something)
- add offensive words into the common_hal.ban file

When they learn this time they "shouldn't" try to learn those words in the .ban files as I'm not sure if it works or not since the megaHAL source should be responsible for that

Thanks Cheeseh. I'll do that. It's my own fault for ignoring the ban file, but I thought the server's swear-filter would catch it.

LOL Your post just remind me how hateful the bots are towards me. They keep saying Sgt. Hardcore sucks, Sgt. Hardcore is a noob etc. when I'm playing NS . I don't know why they hate me though
