ohmy.gif I dunno tongue.gif. which bot used to have a freeze bug.. I thought that was sorted out though, I can't remember, cos it seems so long ago now blink.gif

Chichou, if you are lucky you can "break" in MSVC and it might stop where the code is looping while in a freeze. If you are unlucky it will hit some disassembly. I was lucky finding the freeze bug in rcBot, it broke in the fixangles function, kept on looping in there forever as the angle that was input had some weird value.

By the way, here is my co_ulysses waypoint. I've been using this map to test wiht the bots so I've been tweaking it a lot, adding more fly and wallsticks and bot stuck areas smile.gif

I've been working on a waypoint set for that map, so when I get it done, and the bots can get through it without freaking out, I'll upload it... This DLL's working a lot better than the last one though! biggrin.gif

Alright, don't make fun, this is my first official waypoint set that I've ever released... but it seems to work pretty well... now, if you go look at I know you'll say something along the lines of "JESUS CHRIST SKITCH, ENOUGH WAYPOINTS ON THE TURNS?" but the bots don't mind it, and it kept them from getting stuck and/or turning around... But.. tell me what you guys think, if you would tongue.gif

dry.gif I have noticed also that whcibot and the new beta dlls are not totally compatible as they blow off with an error in hpb_bot.dll when which bot is enabled in metamod this does not happen when rcbob is running in metamod by itself smile.gif

the bots use parasite far too unintelligently at the moment and as a result get picked off by the marines when using it, is there a way i can just turn it off? ive had a look at the weapons file but theres no priority setting for parasite blink.gif

Sorry Cheeseh, I use ServerDoc on the live server so I cant catch the crashes on there. 102 crashes in 4 days tho so far... Gonna have to try and duplicate on the test server I reckon. huh.gif

Jesus, thats not good...blink.gif I haven't had a crash in almost 2 days with this new DLL... Here's a list of crashes from my server, you might be able to see if some coincide with the different DLL builds...

I think the min_range for parasite and acid rocket is far too low, as they are long range weapon and do too little damage. If we compare to human players it sould be at least 500

If you set the min_range to 12000, I think the mp will be too small for bots to use it smile.gif

Remove everything inside the parasite weapon in the bot_weapons.ini file. Will make them not use it at all.

I've had a look at your server, you don't seem to be running the LATEST rcbot metamod dll, It should be giving you a cvar called rcbot_ver has the number with "1.36" (yours has "1.35")

Good question, and further on that, does that mean that the existing setting is the number of aliens that will go gorge and remain gorge, or the number of aliens that will go gorge and continue to evolve?

In combat the gorge_amount will be the MAXIMUM ratio of gorges in the team. There can be no gorges at all.

In ns maps they are the minimum.

Of course, I WILL make a seperate command for combat gorges.

When all bugs & crashes are sorted I'll do it and post. I haven't noticed any crashes yet though myself while testing.

Anyway, I'll get the host to have a look at the smtp errors...

also I updated the source download to the latest if anyone would like to debug with it while running a server.

edit oh by the way the latest source is slightly different than the latest dll file (I changed some stuff regarding avoidance) tongue.gif

I absolutely love the new botses! Having non-stupid marines in CO is fantastic!

I do have a problem running them with Whichbots though. After playing for a while, HLDS generates an exception and closes.

Here's the Dr. Watson Log that is generated by the crash.

doesn't really help much, but ill have a better look.. It isn't exactly crasing in the bot dll is it? (don't see hpb_bot.dll mentioned at all in your log)

It would be really helpful If you managed to compile the source and debug, and find exactly where it crashes
