hey, umm sorry too sound like a prick on my first post but ive been using rcbot for a while now and well they dont do much some examples below:

1 ) the aliens half of the time just sit there at spawn (yes i have waypoints and in a squad)

2 ) the skulks never try and bite me they just follow me and occasionally parasite me always keeping about a metre away

3 ) the marines cant aim unless an alien walks in a straight line directly infront of them otherwise they just turn VERY slowly and by the time theyve turned around too face me theyre dead because i healsprayed them too death or something lol

4 ) i play a lot vs bots and ive yet too die as a marine(no joke), have died as alien though a few times

well at least the gorges pose some sort of a challenge wink.gif

and i have waypoints so thats not the problem ive even tried using rcbot for marines and whichbot for aliens but rcbot gets slaughtered so bad its beyond funny

The only reason the bots will sit at the spawn is there isnt a conected pathway to their destination, or the bots are in a squad with a leader that has no current task, so they all sit near the bot leader. (you can remove the bot squads in the rcbot squad_menu menu)

Remove or modify the bot_weapons.ini file to change how parasite works (make it have a larger minimum range, and give bite a larger max range)

Edit the bots' skills in their respective bot profiles.. for instance

Makes them rather hard to beat.

Damn devilish little basterds rcbots are. laugh.gif They like to either camp right outside your base as fade or randomly attack electirfied res as lerk. dry.gif biggrin.gif And let me tell you. Rcbot onos or fade will own you if you try to go toe to toe with them.

just a follow up on what u suggested i edit and well i had a quick 15 min game and 1 skulk got a kill used teeth and i had 58 kills 0 deaths so yea wasnt any different except parasiting has cut back a bit :S

the bot.dem size is 173 KB (177.837 bytes), 180.224 used

EDIT2:
no bot try to kill one single eletrified rt, only gorges try, but them die zapped.

It's funny when the bots use the JP when you eat them.. laugh.gif

As for the bot running around the arms lab, what I imagine happened is the arms lab was placed directly on a waypoint that a bot was trying to get to, and it kept running towards it, never actually getting to the waypoint.

Arf.. I found a bug in the bots scheduling, if you have access to the source have a look in CBotTask::SetTimeToComplete() and you'll see what i mean blink.gif ...

The time should be added to the current time. This bug caused some bot schedules not to be initiated never mind completed (Including tasks such as hive building, completly building alien structures after deploying them etc.) all of which I added ages ago but never worked because of this bug...

Of course i'll fix it for a next release on Beta.

I'm hoping it makes the bots a lot better tongue.gif

incase you're curios, this bug made these schedules impossible:

-gorges thinking about building resource towers
-gorges thinking about building hives
-gorges thinking about building structures
-gorges refilling a strcture they built so it gets full health
-running for cover

this is why the gorge only heal the hive to 80%... (i think) or this is coded?
