I have noticed the ladder climbing bug is still screewy. It's just very strange the way the bots are handling ladders. If you watch them as a 3rd person, they are moving directly strait into the ladder. You can plainly see that there models are not looking up or down. If you watch them in 1st person spectator, they are spinning very fast while looking up. If you can get under a bot that is stuck on a ladder and push up, it's model turns to look strait at you and moves up the ladder backward but slowly. I have tried every waypointing trick I could come up with and the best I can get is get the bot stuck in the middle of the ladder rather then stuck on either end.

Also, the dreeded lift bug where the bots can use any lift to go down but not up. They stand at the bottom of the lift at the waypoint that it's path go's up and spin. And they NEVER use the lift button waypoint on the first pass.

Alien and marine alike can use "wall stick" waypoints well enough, that's fine. Although, sometimes the path for "wall stick" is great for skulk, can be a little to complex for faster moving flyers like JP and lerk. The "wall stick" and "fly" waypoints need to be seperated and only the class it was ment for should use them.

I'm still using the hpb_bot beta 1.38 because I only play ns 3.0b4a. These are the top three major problems that I feel still need to be addressed.

Almost all of my ladders are working, the lifts are completely out, they're just too complex for bots to navigate... But whenever someone tells me a ladder isn't working, I go fix it, and it's about 85% reliable.. they still go up them slow though...

Wot - the SDK is? You have seen before? I would have thought this is the place to find the impulse's and operations. I've never seen it but when it mentioned AvHMessage.h it sounded like this was ns programming, was hoping this may have helped and you could perhaps have gotten the SDK from PR Searle - oh well

Any chance we could see a Linux dll at some time?

I'm trying to convert to that platform and for whatever reason I can get Whichbot to run in Mandrake 10.1 Final Linux but not RcBot metamod from the 1.3 distribution, which just gives me a badf load and I am pretty sure that its not a file location error. I seem to recall that it wouldnt work and the beta dll was the only way to run beta 5.

Any Linux gurus know how to compile - pretty please ph34r.gif

Cheesh, have you ever tried e-mailing them to give support to impulses to fakeclients (your bots)? I'm sure they'd cooperate since RCbot's great! smile.gif

I remember and old test of yours.. they built stuff but not very well.. so did the impulses work before and only now are failing? Just curious is all..

Well, if they don't have good bot support for NS Marine bots command now.. let's hope they put it in for NS:Source..

He's tried to get them to put in impulses and such to make it so the bots could command, and they said no. Cause they're asses. The old way they did it was hacked in and left stuff in RAM and could crash the server. Thats why it was removed.
